It’s Thursday and time to play with the Pals at Pals Paper Arts! The talented Nicole, our resident sketch artist, has a fun sketch for us this week. I pulled out the Bright and Beautiful set, and created a holiday card featuring Brushed Gold cardstock. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Seeing stars! The Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is getting quite a workout at the Schach shack. But who can resist the beautiful texture it imparts to a holiday card? I know I can’t!
- Stack of stars! A Brushed Gold star, cut using the Star Framelits and embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, forms the bottom layer of a stack of stars. The next star was stamped using Baked Brown Sugar ink. Next up is Brushed Gold again, followed by a Champagne Glimmer Star. I would have used Gold Glimmer Paper, but can you believe I don’t have any? I guess I need to order some.
- A great greeting! A simple sentiment works perfectly for this card. I selected “peace and joy” from the Good Greetings hostess set, inked with Baked Brown Sugar. This is one set which truly is filled with “great greetings”!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I love the elegance of Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold together. What about you? Do YOU have a favorite elegant color combination? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. If you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
