Visions of…Moose for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday, and of course we all know what that means.  It’s time to play with The Paper Players! This week the lovely Nance has a sweet sketch for us.  I thought it looked like a perfect fit for the Moose from the Visions of Santa stamp set.  I think the Moose is absolutely adorable, and I have been itching to ink him up.  I hope you enjoy today’s card.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Seeing stars! The scattering of Hello Honey stars were created using the Confetti Star Punch. They were adhered using Stampin’ Up!’s Two Way Glue Pen.
  • Paper pieced pajamas!  I stamped the Moose image onto Whisper White cardstock, and colored him using Blender Pens with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake inks.  I then dressed him in pj’s which were snipped from the adorable Stars Pattern from the Santa and Co. Designer Series Paper collection.
  • Fancy schmancy! An epoxy Santa and Co. embellishment makes a perfect accent for the “Tis the season to be fancy” sentiment.

I know that many people are not big fans of Visions of Santa…but isn’t this moose just adorable?  The smaller scale of the starry paper made it perfect for his pj’s.  I can envision an entire herd of these fellas, all dressed up in their fanciest trapdoor long johns.  I hope this guy brought a small to your face.  Won’t you let me know in your comment today? And remember, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

The Stampin’ Schach Lesson of the Month…It’s Like Stampin’ with Me in My Kitchen

After taking time off for Founder’s Circle and dog shows, I am back with my lesson of the month, just in time for your holiday card planning.  This month features three cards created with the Bright and Beautiful stamp set.  An easel card, a clean and elegant card, and a card with country elegance comprise the trio.  You will see a commonality in colors, textures, and papers. Here they are:

Card #1: Country Elegance

 Lesson Focus:

  • Layering

Card #2: Clean and Elegant

New Skill:

  • Creating a classic bow

Card #3:  Easel Card

 Lesson Focus:

  • How to make a simple easel card

This month’s lesson will include the following:

  • The Bright and Beautiful clear stamp set (C 135029, $24.95).  Already own this set? You may substitute one of equal value.
  • Three completed cards.
  • Emailed pdf project sheets which contain step-by-step instructions and photos on how to complete each card, including measurements.

  • A private link to video lessons for each one of the projects, discussing how it was created and demonstrating how to do the techniques used.
  • Email assistance to answer any questions you may have about the cards.

This is NOT a card kit. Because I create all of the cards myself, class sizes are strictly limited to the first 30 enrollees.
