It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players. Jaydee is hosting a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us. I inked up the large Nature’s Peace stamp and created a very quick and easy emboss resist card. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Don’t resist the urge to resist! The emboss resist technique packs a punch, but is so easy to do: Simply stamp and heat emboss your image. Then apply ink directly over and around the embossed image using a stamping sponge. Finally, wipe away any excess ink with a tissue. On today’s card I used Crumb Cake ink, along with Always Artichoke, Pink Pirouette, Crushed Curry and Soft Sky for a muted look.
- All that glitters isn’t gold! On this card, it’s Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter!
- Aged, before beauty! The edges of this card were roughed up using the Distress Tool. Soft Suede ink was then applied with a Sponge Dauber. A few speckles were added, courtesy of Crumb Cake ink and the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. As a final touch, Pearls were added.
I had fun with today’s challenge. As you look at the tic-tac-toe grid and my card, can you see which elements I included? It’s probably easier to find the ones I didn’t. What did you think of this quick and easy card? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
