The Stamp Review Crew: Endless Wishes Edition

Welcome back for another round of inspiration from the Stamp Review Crew This week we are featuring Endless Wishes. I am #5 on the hop. You may have just left stop #4: the incredible Heidi Baks. If so, you are in the right spot.  I hope you enjoy today’s hop!

My Endless Wishes card is easy to create.  I inked all three Snowflake images with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and proceeded to stamp a tree.  How simple is that? All it takes is a little patience and a lot of pearls. Enjoy!

The Stampin’ Schach’s Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • It’s all about the pearls! Large, medium and small, I used them all.  Blendabilities were used to color them.
  • Add a little elegance! A gold foil mat adds a touch of elegance and sophistication.
  • A star for the top of the tree! A single medium Snowflake makes a wonderful substitute for a star, don’t you think?

I almost did not join in this week’s hop.  I was not sure how I would be able to showcase this set.  But the idea of a snowflake tree caught my fancy. I wanted to create something sophisticated and clean.  What do you think of today’s card? Did I achieve my goal? Won’t you let me know in your comment?  Your comments are important to me.  And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Now it’s time to hop on to one of my favorite designers, the incomparable Cindy Beach.  If you get lost along the way, visit The Stamp Review Crew for a list of all the hoppers. Until next time…

Nature’s Peace for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players.  Jaydee is hosting a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us.  I inked up the large Nature’s Peace stamp and created a very quick and easy emboss resist card.  Enjoy!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Don’t resist the urge to resist!  The emboss resist technique packs a punch, but is so easy to do:  Simply stamp and heat emboss your image.  Then apply ink directly over and around the embossed image using a stamping sponge.  Finally, wipe away any excess ink with a tissue.  On today’s card I used Crumb Cake ink, along with Always Artichoke, Pink Pirouette, Crushed Curry and Soft Sky for a muted look.
  • All that glitters isn’t gold! On this card, it’s Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter!
    • Aged, before beauty! The edges of this card were roughed up using the Distress Tool.  Soft Suede ink was then applied with a Sponge Dauber.  A few speckles were added, courtesy of Crumb Cake ink and the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  As a final touch, Pearls were added.

I had fun with today’s challenge. As you look at the tic-tac-toe grid and my card, can you see which elements I included? It’s probably easier to find the ones I didn’t. What did you think of this quick and easy card? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me.  And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…

    A Quartet of Guest Cards

I have four fabulous holiday cards to share with you today, courtesy of a few of the members of my  group, the Schach Pack Pals.

    Vicki Boddicker

Vicki’s watercoloring is amazing!!! The snowy hills she created are stunning, and create a feeling of depth.
    Ronna Butt
Ronna’s card is actually an invitation, inviting everyone to attend her 10th annual Christmas Open House.  The torn paper edge adds so much texture!
    Beth McCollough
Beth CASED this adorable card from Stampin’ Succeess magazine…one of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I love the simplicity and the quaint, country feel!
     Wendy Klein
Wendy’s ribbon treatment is so elegant.  Of course, who could resist all of these pearls…
