Mini Treat Bag Sachet for The Paper Players

IMG_1286-001It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! Anne Marie is back with a Theme Challenge:  Everything Old is New Again.  Our mission is to simply create a project using a recycled or re-purposed item.  I opted to use the lovely paper that protects the cover of the new Occasions Catalog, as well as items from My Paper Pumpkin packaging, to create this lovely sachet for a friend.  I hope you enjoy it!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

  • Designer series paper…NOT!  The gorgeous paper which protects the cover of the Occasions Catalog is perfect for making this gift sachet.  Of course, the gift bag is created in a snap using the new Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die.

Occasions Paper

  • Tissue paper flower! The tissue paper that comes in the My Paper Pumpkin box can be rolled and used to make a lovely flower! In addition, you can spritz it with essential oils (I used Lavendar) to use in a sachet, such as this one.  The Heart cut-outs, also made courtesy of the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die, allow the fragrance to easily permeate the air.

  • Mini-bow!  The adorable little bow was created using more of the My Paper Pumpkin packaging.  Once again, the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die is to blame for the cuteness. This die is one of my top picks from the Occasions Catalog for sure!

Bow Collage

  • A touch of glitz! I could not resist adding strings of Bermuda Bay sequins for a touch of glitz and glam.

IMG_1281I am really pleased with how this little sachet looks…and smells! Plus, in keeping with the spirit of the challenge, I did re-use or re-purpose so many of the items used in its making.  Even the doily is from a treat bag I created during Founder’s Circle.  Of course, the Soft Sky Seam Binding, Pearls, and Island Indigo leaves (created with the new Bouquet Bigz L Die) are new items, but I felt they added so much to the design.

What about you? Won’t you let me know what you think of today’s little sachet? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one.  And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only an email away!  Until next time…

Butterfly Basics for PPA 234

WM
It’s time to play at Pals Paper Arts! Team One, my former team, has a beautiful color challenge for us this week: Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder, and Silver.  I just couldn’t wait to pull out Butterfly Basics, one of the wonderful sets from the new Occasions Catalog, and play along.  Enjoy!

PPA234

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Butterfly beauties! The butterflies were stamped with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White cardstock.  If you are not a fan of fussy cutting, don’t despair.   The smaller butterfly can be punched out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch, while the larger butterfly fits one of the new Butterfly Thinlits dies.  Of course, I couldn’t pass up coloring a few pearls with Wisteria Wonder Blendabilities.  Even butterflies look perfect in pearls!

  • Blender pen blossoms! The flower was colored with blender pens and Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi ink.  A little touch of Daffodil Delight accents the middle of the open blossom.

  • Double delightful bow!  Night of Navy Seam Binding makes a perfect double bow.  I snipped off the ends for a more tailored look.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Although this marks the first time I have inked up Butterfly Basics, I know I am going to LOVE this set!  Won’t you let me know what think in your comment today? Have you already picked out a favorite from the new catalog?

And speaking of enjoying, I hope you enjoy my new blog look.  Brian Watt, from Integrant Services, did an excellent job of importing all of my blog posts to a WordPress blog.  It was a daunting task, but Brian was able to move my pictures and maintain the integrity of my blog header, which I still love.  He worked with me every step of the way to make certain The Stampin’ Schach looked the way I wanted.  Thank you so much, Brian!

Of course, with change comes learning. I ask that you bear with me while I learn the ins-and-outs of WordPress.  I am sure I will have my share of glitches!  So…in addition to today’s card, what do you think about the new blog look? Won’t you let me know in your comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them.  Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…
