It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the talented Nance has a unique color challenge for us: Calypso Coral, Real Red, Basic Black. I pulled out one of my old favorites, Stippled Blossoms, and created a “Thinking of You” card for a friend who recently experienced a loss. I hope she likes it. Won’t you play along with us this week? If you don’t have these Stampin’ Up! colors, feel free to substitute with a similar hue. At The Paper Players, we are all about the fun!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Two steppin’! Stippled Blossoms is a Two-Step stamp. I used Calypso Coral as my base, and overlayed it with Real Red stippling. Of course, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the stippled image.
- Black butterfly! Given my choice of colors, I probably wouldn’t ink up the small butterfly from Butterfly Basics in black. However, it does look striking on the Calypso Coral pattern from the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper collection.
- A Beauty of a Bow! Stampin’ Up!’s Seam Binding is one of my favorite ribbons for making bows. This time I selected Calypso Coral, and made a double loops. The ends were shaped and held in position with Glue Dots.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I needed a classic, feminine card for my friend, and I thought this set and layout filled the bill. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them. Of course, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
