Stampin’ Up!’s Indescribable Gift for The Paper Players

Indescribable Gift-002It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!  For this week’s color challenge, the oh-so-talented Anne Marie has a beautiful quartet of colors for us:  Crisp Cantaloupe, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi.  I have had the urge to watercolor lately, and Stampin’ Up!’s Indescribable Gift was a perfect choice.  So I pulled out my Blender Pens and inks, and got to work.  I hope you enjoy today’s card.pp235The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long when folded.

  • Blender Pens and Inks! This image, from Indescribable Gift, was inked in Jet Black StazOn and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock.  It was faux watercolored using Blender Pens and the challenge colors.  After outlining it with Soft Sky, it was snipped out with Paper Snips.

  • Butterflies! Both the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit were used to create this “flutter” of butterflies.  Of course, a few Pearls were used as accents!

  • A beautiful bow! A double bow was created with Crumb Cake Seam BindingGlue Dots are used to hold it in position.

Indescribable Gift-007What a gorgeous color combination this is! Perfect for spring, don’t you think? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them.  Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…

A Sadie Faith Update

It has been 3-1/2 weeks since Sadie Faith, the Boxer puppy, had surgery to repair a broken leg.  Here are the latest pictures of this loveable little scamp:

Sadie Faith 3 weeks post op #1She is still making herself comfortable on the couch of her foster parents, who say the most difficult part is keeping her quiet.  Unfortunately she still has several weeks of “quiet” time ahead of her.

Sadie Faith 3 weeks post op #2Is she a cutie, or what! Sadie Faith’s surgery came to $1680, plus she will need to be spayed before she goes to her forever home.  I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to paying her medical bills. I am overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity.

IMG_1727Along with her  donation,  one of my stamping friends and Lesson of the Month students, Kelly, sent this beautiful “Faith” card.  It has a place of honor on my mantle, along with this beauty, created by another stamping friend and customer, Barbara:

IMG_1721Just look at those pearls! Thank you both so much…

Over the next few weeks, I will keep you posted on Sadie Faith and her continued progress.   So there you go…a Sadie Faith update!  Thanks for stopping by today.  Of course, if you have any questions about the cards I make or the techniques I use…I am only an email away!  Until next time…
