How Many Mini-Muffins Do You See?: The Muffy Chronicles

Hi, everybody!  I went to the vet today.  Dr. Rita took a picture of my tummy…and she saw my babies!  Well, she saw their little heads and spines…and some legs, too.  She said some of them could be hiding.  But what do you think? How many mini-Muffins do you see?

IMG_0667-001This will probably be my last post before my babies arrive.  I am due on Good Friday, but Dr. Rita doesn’t think I will last until then.  My mom said she will let everyone know just as soon as she can, because I probably won’t feel like posting. I’ll be busy with babies!

Muffy Day 58

It was a gray day, cold and windy, but Muffy insisted on her evening walk around the block Sunday evening. This is day 58.

So…take care everyone.  I am so excited!  Until next time…

Just Kidding for The Paper Players

IMG_1923It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, Claire has a fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge!  I was excited to ink up the new “Just Kidding” photopolymer set, and create a bright and cheery card for my friend, Gena…just because!  Unexpected cards are always the best ones to receive…and to send!  Enjoy this quick and easy card!

pp238The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measure 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long when folded.

  • Faux watercoloring! Blender Pens and inks were used to faux watercolor the image from Just Kidding.  Her hair is a mixture of Chocolate Chip and Tangelo Twist; her sweater is Lost Lagoon; and her skirt is Blackberry Bliss.

  • Embossed border!  I used the Lacy Scalloped Border from the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folders collection to create this delightfully feminine border.  I thought it looked sweet with the Polka Dot Daffodil Delight paper.

  • Bow! Stampin’ Up!’s Whisper White Organza Ribbon makes the most beautiful bows! Once again, it pairs perfectly with this paper.

IMG_1918-001Today’s card was fun to make.  Although I am not a huge fan of cartoon stamps, I thought this set was adorable.  I purchased it with several friends in mind, which is a little unusual for me.  Many times I buy a set with absolutely no idea of how I will use it.  I just like it.  Or I’ll see someone create something cute with it, so I buy the set, then never use it.   Ugh.  How about you?  What causes you to buy a set? Won’t you let me know in your comment today?  Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one! Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…
