It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, Claire is treating us to a fun color challenge: Bermuda Bay, Kraft/Crumb Cake, Old Olive. I just had to play with some of the items from the new Holiday Catalog…even if it did mean making a Christmas card using non-traditional colors. I hope you enjoy today’s card!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4 inches wide x 5-1/2″ long when folded.
- The dies have it! Creating beautiful die cuts is simple with Delicate Ornaments Thinlits dies. Cut from Gold Foil and overlayed onto Bermuda Bay, this ornament sports Pearls, a Gold Cord bow, and a gorgeous Winter Wonderland embellishment.
- Sentimental! The sentiment Merry & Bright is from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set. I love this set because all the words are separate…allowing you to make countless combinations! You can even make the phrase “Have a holly, jolly Christmas”! I just love this old Burl Ive’s tune, don’t you?
- I’ve got this! One of my favorite backgrounds is created with the stamp from You’ve Got This. This time I inked it with Old Olive and stamped off twice before stamping it onto Very Vanilla cardstock. A few Crumb Cake speckles are courtesy of Gorgeous Grunge.
I had a blast inking up these new sets and using new embellishments! The new Precision Cutting Plate does make cutting out intricate dies, like the one I used today, easier. I really can’t wait to play again with the Embellished Ornament set and the coordinating Delicate Ornaments dies. In fact, I would LOVE to play with everything in the new Holiday Catalog! But that will have to wait for another day, since Lexi and I are in Albert Lea, MN. As always, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
