IMG_3191-001It’s Thursday.  Are you ready to play with the Sketch Team at Pals Paper Arts?  This week the talented Sandra Conner is our sketch designer.  I reached for one of the sets which will be making its appearance in Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 – 2017 Annual Catalog…Love & Affection. What a wonderful name for a stamp set! Today’s card also features the new Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.  Enjoy!

provide a perfect backdrop for the fussy cut blossoms from Love & Affection.  A few Rhinestones add a touch of sparkle! I can see myself using the Swirls Thinlits quite often.  This is definitely one of my favorite preorder items.

Whisper White Craft Ink was used to color the centers of the flowers.  I love how it looks on Crumb Cake card stock.  How about you?  The little bow was fashioned out of the new Whisper White Thick Baker’s Twine.  It offsets the white flower and helps to accent the white centers.

IMG_3191-003I did not hesitate to combine three patterns from the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper collection.  The leafy pattern of the Mint Macaron paper is very subtle.  Although the other two patterns are a little bolder, they are tied together by color.

Helping Me Grow and Jackie News

IMG_3158-001It’s Thursday…and time to play with the Sketch Team at Pals Paper Arts.  This week the talented and lovely Ginger Toivonen has designed a sketch for us which is just as sweet as she! I thought it was a perfect opportunity to show off the Helping Me Grow stamp set, which just so happens to be one of my favorite new sets.  I hope you enjoy today’s card!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ x  4-1/4″ when folded.

Blender Pens and ink were used to faux watercolor the flowers from this set.  I always like to “shadow” the images with Soft Sky ink for a special look.  Clear Wink of Stella adds a beautiful, subtle sparkle, which is noticeable in person, while a few Rhinestones are the perfect accents.

Clusters of Rhinestones make an eye-catching center for any flower.  Once again, I gave the flowers a little wink!

What better way to show off a sentiment than to frame it?  The word FRIEND was stamped, highlighted with Clear Wink of Stella, and then punched out with the Large Oval Punch.  Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to “pop” it atop the label die, which was cut out using the Rose Garden Thinlits.

I can’t wait to send this card off.  It would work for so many occasions, but I am thinking this one will be used as a “thank you”!

A Special Ad for a Special Boy

In two weeks time, Jackie will be strutting his stuff at the American Boxer Club’s National Show in Indianapolis, IN.  Of course, I will be there to cheer him on during the day, and snuggle with him at night.  I thought you would like to see a sneak peek of his ad, which will be included in the Boxer Daily magazine.
