Boxer News

We have lots of awesome Boxer News to report to you! And who is better to do the telling than one of your old friends, Muffy.  Muffy Lin has been itching to get back at the ‘puter and type away.  Take it away, Muffin!

current promotions

Hi, Muffy here! Yep, that’s me in the picture with my latest godpuppy, GQ.  I know. I know.  Things have changed a lot from my show days …

Boxer news

Although my face may be silver now, I still have a heart of gold.  It’s been almost five years since I finished my Grand Champion title.  My mom said that maybe I can show in the Veteran’s class this fall…if I lose a little weight! Like don’t we all need to???

I do have some BIG news to report about my son, Jackie.  Jackie just finished winning back-to-back Best of Breeds in Ohio.  But more importantly, he earned his Canine Good Citizen title AND he passed his therapy dog test.  He will be visiting nursing homes and hospitals.  Here he is, with a couple of his therapy dog classmates.

Boxer News

And here he is, looking gorgeous! Of course, I am a little biased, since I am his mom.

Boxer NewsLexi has been away since last October.  She’s staying in Texas with her co-owner, Rhonda.  Rhonda used to be my handler until she moved to Texas.  Rhonda wanted some Lexi babies to carry on her kennel’s bloodline.  Hopefully, I will be an aunt sometime in June…but Rhonda isn’t sure. Here’s Lexi struttin’ her stuff at the ranch.  I don’t think she has any puppies in there, do you? That girl needs to eat like I eat, and put a little meat on those bones.

Boxer NewsMom is afraid Lexi is not going to want to come back to Iowa.  Her house yard is 3-1/2 acres.  She gets to ride in a pick up truck to check on cattle AND she gets to go on horse back rides.  Well, she trots beside the horse while Rhonda rides, but it still sounds like fun to me.

My beautiful daughter, Kia, is enjoying life in Seattle with Brady the Boy.

Boxer News

She takes Brady on hikes, and carries all of her own stuff in her back pack.  She is leading quite the life.  I think she is a wee bit spoiled.  Here she is walking on one of the trails in Washington:

Boxer News

And here she is with Brady’s friend, Korin.  (Brody the Boxer calls her “Korn”.  He is still so silly.) Korin plays an instrument called a “viola”.  I only know trumpets, because that is what Brady the Boy plays. Mom said it has strings on it.  Maybe it is like Brady the Boy’s guitar.  It has strings.  He left it here when he moved to Seattle.  It’s on a stand in the guest room.  I play it with my nose sometimes.  I wonder if  Korin plays her viola with her nose…but I digress.

Boxer News

Little GQ had a wonderful time at his first dog show.  Mom didn’t mess around with sending him to a little show for his first time out.  He went straight to our National Boxer show.  Even I have not been to THAT show…although Jackie has.

Little Q won his Futurity class.  I’m not quite sure what that is, but Mom said he showed against all the other little 6 to 9 Month Puppy boys that were there…and he WON!!! I didn’t tell him it was a big deal.  He already thinks he is pretty special.  But he is pretty dang cute, don’t you think? I told him all about dog shows, and how important it is to hold his neck like that, and how to hold his tail up.

Boxer NewsAt the end of the day, though, he is just an ordinary puppy boy who loves to snuggle with this old girl.

Boxer News

And finally there is my dear brother, Brody the Boxer (not to be confused with Brady the Boy).  You might remember that over a year ago he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Well…he just had his latest tests, and the amount of blood in his urine is not increasing. It’s not decreasing…but it is not increasing.  Mom has done a lot of special things for him.  He eats a special diet and gets special herbs and oils and stuff.  There is one more test they could do, but it costs a lot of money.  Mom talked it over with the vet, and they just decided to do what they have been doing.  He does get a special medicine every night.  He gets it in a “Pill Pocket”.  Mom gives me an empty Pill Pocket so I don’t feel left out, and so Brody doesn’t feel badly that he has to take medicine.  In the meantime, we just count every day with him as a blessing.

On the CASE with A Floral Tag

floral tag

Nicole and I are back On the CASE. Our mission: To work through current Stampin’ Up! catalogs, and break down gorgeous samples step-by-step, just for you! CASE means to Copy and Share with Everyone, and that is exactly what we will be doing. We hope you enjoy the cards we CASE and the free tutorials included in our posts. Sadly, this is the last CASE from both the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalog and the Occasions Catalog.  But on the upside, our next CASE will come from the new Annual Catalog.  SO… let’s get stampin’!

On the CASE: Lots of Love
A Floral Tag
Stamp Set:  Annual Catalog Page 87; Sample Page 181

floral tag

The floral tag created with the Lots of Love stamp set is adorable! I like to surprise my friends with homemade cookies and candies, and gift tags such as this are the perfect touch.  Even though I had to improvise on the sentiment, (the catalog sample uses Brushwork Alphabet, which I do not own), I had fun creating today’s CASE.

Colors of the Day
Stamps and Papers and Inks … Oh, My!

Stamps: Lots of Love (Retiring May 31, 2018), Crafting Forever (sentiment)
Paper:  Whisper White Cardstock (3-3/4″ x 2″,  3-1/2″ x 3″, scrap)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker, Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Marker, Tranquil Tide Stampin’ Pad and Stampin’ Write Marker
Other: Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Paper Snips,  Basics Pack 2 Washi Tape, Powder Pink 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon, Whisper White Baker’s Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals (Ann’s stepped-up version: Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Clear Faceted Gems)

“On the CASE” Notes
Your Step-by-Step Guide

1.  Punch the tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Wrap two pieces of Tranquil Tide Washi Tape around the bottom of the tag.

2.  Using the sentiment from the Crafting Forever set, selectively ink the word “friends” with a Tranquil Tide Stampin’ Write marker.

3.  Stamp the flowers as follows:  Large Flower – Pool Party;  Leaves – Tranquil Tide; Leafy Frond – Pear Pizzazz; Small Flower – Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide (selectively ink with Stampin’ Write Markers);  Buds – Tangerine Tango and Tranquil Tide (once again use markers).  Fussy cut with paper snips.  Adhere to the card with dimensionals.

4.  Stamp a second large flower, and snip out the middle section. Adhere to the main focal point with dimensionals.

5.  Add approximately 8 inches of Powder Pink Finely Woven Ribbon through the top of the tag. Tie a Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow around the pink ribbon. Enjoy!

To “step up” the tag,  I added Rhinestones and a single Clear Faceted Gem.  It looks awesome in person.

I can’t wait to bake  up a batch of  goodies and present them to a friend with this tag attached!

How Hard Was It to Crack This CASE

Nothing tricky here! It’s a fun tag to create, and I hope you will give it a try!   Difficulty Level:  2 out of 5, only because it takes time and needs to be fussy cut.  And be sure to add the rhinestones and gem – you won’t regret the sparkle!

It’s time to reserve your Annual Catalog Shares!

Why should you participate in The Stampin’ Schach’s Annual Catalog Shares?  Here are three great reasons:

  • Packaging! Designer Papers are identified for you, so you don’t have to play “Which collection is this?”  Ribbons are wrapped onto plastic bobbins, when possible, not just thrown in a bag.  Just place them onto a round ring, hang them, and there they are…ready for easy access!
  • Amounts! You receive 6″ x 12″ rectangles of paper of the designer papers, except for the 6″ x 6″ paper stacks.  That’s a plus for those of you who are memory keepers!  Plus, the ribbons are cut into ample 1-1/4 yard samples, and Baker’s Twine are cut into 5 yard samples.
  • A chance to sample a little bit of everything without breaking the bank!

How Shares Work

Shares are a way to sample the new Designer Series Papers, Ribbons, and Embellishments at a fraction of what it would cost you to purchase all of them yourself. And the nice thing is I do all the ordering, cutting, counting and re-packaging for you!

Simply EMAIL ME (kimschach@msn.com) to reserve your spot in a share. When your share fills, I will bill you via PayPal, or you may send a check. I will begin sending out PayPal invoices May 25th.

On June 1st, I will place the orders for all filled shares. Once I receive the products, I will put the troops to work, and cut, count, measure and package up your goodies pronto. Because I want to get your shares mailed out as quickly as possible, I will expedite the order!  Your papers will be lovingly wrapped and identified to protect them; ribbons will be placed onto bobbins and embellishments will be placed into small bags. Once this task is completed, your shares will be sent out via the US Postal Service.

Here’s What Others Say About My Shares

“I can’t believe how quickly I received my share.  You are amazing!” – L.S.

“I was so pleased with your last product share. It makes a big difference when you offer the DSP at the generous size of 6″ x 12″. You did a great job on the last one.” – L.P.

Click HERE to see all of the options…and don’t forget to email me.
The first round of shares will close on May 31st at 6:00 PM CST.

As always, if you have any questions about the cards I create, the techniques I use, or this year’s Annual Catalog shares, don’t hesitate to email me!  Until next time…
