Clean and Simple Apple for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the lovely Joanne has a Clean and Simple Challenge for us:  Clean and Simple Apple(s)! How fun is that!

Clean and simpleYou know me…clean and simple is always a challenge.  But I felt pretty good about this one, especially since I own Stampin’ Up!’s  Picked for You stamp set.  I hope you enjoy today’s Clean and Simple Apple card!

Colors of the Day
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

You know me and my love of plaid! I thought the Old Olive plaid from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper collection would pair perfectly with a red apple.  Night of Navy became an accent color, bringing out the lines in the plaid.

Speaking of red apples, I used three different shades of red on my apple:  Cherry Cobbler, Lovely Lipstick, Real Red.  I then used an aqua painter to blur the colors, and added just a wee bit of Daffodil Delight. Leaves,  courtesy of the Lemon Builder punch, were punched from Old Olive and Granny Apple Green cardstocks. Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine was perfect for a cute accent bow.

The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy and die cut with a round Stitched Shapes framelit.

Three red rhinestones add the perfect amount of bling.  Who wouldn’t like to receive a little day brightener like this card in the mail? I’ll be anxious to hear what you think, so don’t forget to leave a comment.  And don’t forget to visit the rest of the Design Team for more clean and simple inspiration!

Witch’s Hat Halloween Card for FF0019

Witch's Hat Halloween Card

It’s time for the Festive Friday Challenge, where every challenge is a party! For FF0019, we are celebrating Halloween and/or Black. I opted to create this Halloween card which features the Toil & Trouble designer series paper collection.  Whatever way you decide to create is fine with us. We can’t wait to see what you create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Today’s card is a fussy-cutter’s dream! With absolutely no stamping involved, every image has been snipped from the Pumpkin and Hat papers which are part of the Toil & Trouble collection.  If you are not a fussy cutter, don’t despair.  The images are very easy to snip out. Placing vellum over the Crushed Curry designer paper makes a perfect muted backdrop for the pumpkins and hat of your choice.

Witch's Hat Halloween Card

There is plenty of sparkle, thanks to glimmer paper stars and a crescent moon, as well as rhinestones which were colored with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend.  And what about the gorgeous glittered organdy ribbon? Don’t you just love it! It makes the best bows.

Witch's Hat Halloween Card

I was so happy with how this card turned out.  There are several hats and pumpkins from which to choose, so let your creativity run wild!
