Love Is in the Air is the theme for this week’s challenge at The Paper Players. What a timely one our host, the sweet and talented Claire, has selected for us! While I went with hearts, the iconic symbols of the Valentine season, I used non-traditional colors. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Hearts and shimmer reign supreme on today’s card! A Bubble Bath doily, sponged with Cloud Cover ink, was cut into two pieces and layered onto a textured Hearts of Love backdrop. Next, I used the retired Many Hearts dies to cut a scalloped heart from Bubble Bath Pastel Shimmer paper and a corresponding layering heart from Whispers of Texture paper. The sentiment, from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set, was inked in Secret Sea, stamped onto Basic White cardstock, and die cut out using a die from Words of Beauty. It was layered onto a mat of Cloud Cover cardstock. Because this card is going to be hand-delivered, I didn’t need to worry about bulkiness. I added a large double bow created from Cloud Cover ribbon for “WOW” and a trio of rhinestones for sparkle. A little shimmer and shine would win my heart every time!
