Birthdays can be sneaky. Not only can they sneak up on the person celebrating the birthday, they can also sneak up on the “birthday card sender”, too. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times this has happened to me, despite the fact my calendar has birthdays listed. For cases where I need a card in a hurry, this clean and simple birthday card may become my “go-to quickie card”! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.

I can’t wait to see what YOU create. The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Let’s be honest. Isn’t it nice to be able to create a cute card that doesn’t take hours to make? And this one has so many fun things going for it, like yummy texture and sparkly bling! The Addressed To You stamp set was one that caught my eye when the January – April Mini Catalog was released. I LOVED the oval and rectangular line work images included in the set. Plus, the variety of small images added to its appeal. The oval and the balloons on today’s card are from this set. To begin, I embossed a Basic White panel with the Beautiful Pattern 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the card base. The Fresh Freesia paper I used for the card base is actually from the Beach Boardwalk designer series paper collection. It added a softness that Fresh Freesia cardstock did not. The oval image was stamped and fussy cut out. It was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The balloons were colored using a Blender Pen and Balmy Blue, Fresh Freesia and Pretty in Pink inks. They were also fussy cut out and “popped” up on dimensionals. Basic rhinestones add the sparkle. The “It’s Your Day!” sentiment is from the Fragrant Layers stamp set. I used a die from the retired Picture This collection to die cut it out. Quick and easy for sure!
