I love flowers, but sadly I do not have a green thumb. Instead of having a traditional flower garden, I am a “card gardener”. I brighten up the day by sending beautiful petals through the mail. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!
It’s Sketch Week at the Paper Players, hosted by the incredibly talented Jan. She has a beautiful sketch for us. As I have always said, great sketches are the foundations of great cards. This sketch is one of the great ones. As you can see, I am “card gardening”. However, this sketch is SO versatile. I can’t wait to see what YOU create! The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
There is a lot happening with today’s card. Brushed With Beauty designer series paper takes a leading role. A Petal Pink pattern was matted onto Lost Lagoon cardstock to form the card base. The vertical panel also features a Brushed With Beauty pattern, and the leaves were die cut from another pattern in the collection. The floral image from the Petals of Beauty stamp set was used to stamp this blossom in Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. The Petals of Beauty dies are responsible for the lovely Lost Lagoon die cuts. The Lost Lagoon sentiment is from the Fragrant Layers set and was die cut out using one of the coordinating Fragrant Layers label dies. The horizontal band gives the illusion of texture. It was stamped using the Lasting Linen stamp. Of course, no card is complete without a little “something-something” to zhuzh it up. In this case, it was a wee bit of “golden glam” in the form of a snippet of gold twine and a trio of Flower Accents.
