Sometimes I have difficulty expressing how grateful I am to have certain people in my life. I have found that when that happens, a lovingly created card can express my gratefulness more eloquently than I can. The sentiment, “Grateful for the Everyday Magic of You”, is a perfect way to let someone know how much they mean to you. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

It’s theme week at The Paper Players. For PP762, sweet and lovely LeAnne has selected the timely theme of “Thankful for You”. While I usually love to create “leafy” cards in the colors of the season, I went an entirely different route. Today’s card mirrors the magical beauty of nature and was perfect for a card that honors how grateful I am to have a certain person in my life everyday. I can’t wait to see what YOU create for this week’s challenge. But before you gather up your stamps, papers, and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible “Teamies”, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some “Comment Love”. It brightens our day!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Today’s card is one where the Light & Wonder dies and cardstock do all the work. Using the gorgeous Lights of Aurora Designer Series Paper as my color inspiration, I die cut snowcapped mountains from Basic White with a Smoky Slate overlay. Pretty Peacock hills were layered next, followed by Blackberry Bliss trees in the distance. The larger trees in the foreground were die cut from Gorgeous Grape. The die cuts were then strategically placed on the designer paper so it appeared as if we were peaking through the forest at a beautiful mountain lake. The sentiment, from the retired Something Fancy stamp set, was hand cut and accented with a trio of simple rhinestones.

Nueve’s Notes
Hey, everybody! It’s me, Nueve! Guess what! We got to go Trick-or-Treating at obedience class Thursday. We got cookies, and all we had to do was wear our costumes. Sixxy’s costume was the BEST. She went as a diva.

Uncle Q was a “handsome devil”. He looks scary! His horns were sparkly and his tie had diamonds on it.

As for me, I was a unicorn. My mane was made of gorgeous feathers and my horn was gold.

Mom made a Howl-o-ween card that had all three of us on the front. She even made our noses look our real noses. I have lots of pink, Sixxy has her freckles, and Uncle Q is just kind of gray. She gave me angel wings ’cause I am a such a good boy.

We had lots of fun on Howl-o-ween and wore our costumes the whole time. It made my Mom and Dad smile. It made all of the other people at the class smile, too, especially when Sixxy wagged her tail and her whole skirt was wiggling. Yep! Making our people smile is just part of our jobs. We are Working dogs, and I am the bestest. I am Good Boy Nueve!

Ann, what a fabulous use of these sets. Simply stunning. Well, not simple, but you know what I mean :-). BTW, I knew you would not be able to resist the Howl-o-ween dies – they are just perfect for you. As are the doggie costumes!

What a Gorgeously Stunning card!!! I love all the layers!!! The pups card is adorable too!!! Their costumes are so cute!!! I’ll bet y’all had a great time!!!
That is such a great sentiment and totally fitting with such a magical scene. Love the colours too! As for Neuve and friends – those outfits are adorable and the little Halloween card is fabulous!!
Ann, this mountain scene is spectacular!!! I love the aurora dsp is just so perfect to create the sky and the lake. I love the gorgeous grape color, too! Just amazing!
Now, that little doggie card is the perfect Ann creation! The little Angel made me get a tear.
Your kids are the best trick or treaters. Wish they could visit me!
Ann, on a scale of 1 – 10, your card is a 15!! WOW, so very gorgeous! I always love a mountain scene or a beautiful sky, and your strategic placement of all the elements was simply perfection!
I’m glad you got those dog dies, your doggie card is too cute. And so were the live doggos. I loved their outfits and they didn’t seem to mind them, except maybe Uncle Q, he looks a little grumpy in that photo lol! Thanks for sharing the pics!
I love your card, Ann!
The pictures of the ‘kids’ are soooo darn cute!!! Such good babies!
Such a lovely card; the colors as well as the layout.
Your ‘ kids’ are adorable in their cute costumes. Their costumes fit their personality to a T and I’m sure it bought a lot of smiles to everyone that day.
That card reminds me of the Cascade Mountains that separate the western and eastern sections of Oregon, my beautiful home state. Absolutely lovely, Ann!
Those costumes were great! And your pups wore them proudly! Butterscotch was jealous, as she didn’t get to go trick or treating or wear a costume.
Love your mountains card and WOW the pups card! Love also seeing your dogs especially Nueve. Looks like he is all better. I envy you having all those pups. 🙂
What a fabulous card! That aurora paper makes for an amazing mountain scene! Gorgeous! But those pups—-I laughed out loud at ALL of them! SO stinking cute, and so was the card! You’re just so clever! Thanks for rocking my challenge this week!
I have use that very paper, but I never thought to use it horizontally, and definitely never thought to use the blue part as water. Thanks for a new idea. It was fun to read about the boxers again. I loved to hear about their special event.
When I see gorgeous cards like this, I wish I’d given in and bought this bundle. Beautiful! 🙂
I LOVE the color scheme, and your distinctive layers. Came together beautifully!
LOVE the card Ann!
and the pups in their costumes is impressive …. couldn’t get mine to wear anything unless they were cold lol
What a gorgeous card, Ann! Purple mountains’ majesty indeed : ) Being close to the mountains is probably my favorite thing about living in Colorado. Love all the colors you chose for your card and your aurora background is great!
All your fur babies look so cute in their costumes! My son Ryan and I put a costume on Daphne on Halloween for only about 15 minutes–she was the steed of the Headless Horseman. She was more cooperative than I expected, though she did try to eat it; I think she was more confused by the whole operation than anything else. My husband maintains that “This is why dogs bite people” and refuses to have anything to do with putting costumes on them, though we will sometimes take pictures for me. Hope your fur babies all had fun on Halloween!
Beautiful card, I love purple so it is a big hit with me😉
OMG the Halloween card is darling 💜
The kids looked so cute in there costumes 😊😊😊
Wow! That card just knocked me off my butt! It is stunning! Love the trick or treaters too. Thanks for sharing.
