November and all it entails, including the continuous raking of glorious leaves, is quickly passing us by. For those of us who celebrate Thanksgiving, that day will soon be here. I will count my blessings and reflect upon the love I share with family and friends, both two-legged and four! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.
It’s sketch week at The Paper Players and I have the honor of being your host. I have selected a sketch which allows you to have fun with your favorite paper, sentiments, and images! It consists of three panels in the middle with a wide margin all the way around. While I went the “Let the Paper Do All the Work” route, I can’t wait to see what YOU create. Will your center panel include an image? What will your sentiment say? Will you celebrate the holiday season? There is so much you can do with this sketch.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Sometimes a paper is so beautiful, it’s a crime not to show it off. Such is the case with the Gathering Together specialty designer series paper. Glorious leaves, berries and toadstools are resplendent in their beautiful fall colors. The tri-panel center was matted onto Early Espresso and then onto Gold Foil, and “popped” up using dimensionals. I tried a variety of backgrounds, including embossed cardstock, but in the end I decided that nothing looked better than the same leafy pattern as was in the center. The “Thankful for You” sentiment was heat embossed in gold onto Early Espresso cardstock. I kept the sentiment small so it would not cover up the gorgeous paper. Because there were metallic foil accents on the paper itself, no other embellishments were needed, making this a wonderful card for mailing.

Hello my fellow DSP lover! This leafy one is a stunner! I wouldn’t have thought to use it for frame and panels, yet I love the effect – so I’m off to try and recreate it with the paper I used on my PP card this week! Great sketch too!
To me, there’s nothing better than fall images (even though I love the holidays too). The leaves, the mushrooms, the colors and the use of gold are all just so beautiful and you’ve created a stunning card with this paper and your fabulous sketch, Ann! Ann, this sketch is great and I know I will use it many times. Your card is gorgeous! I kept looking at it and thought you stenciled all these beautiful leaves and then I realized it was DSP!
