“Spooky Cute” for PP758

An adorable Franken-pup, a beary-fairy godmother, bats and ravens! Spooky meets cute on today’s “spooky cute” adorable Halloween card. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.

This week it is sweet Claire’s turn to host our theme challenge. What a fun one it is: Halloween Costumes! I chose to watercolor this cutie-patootie Pup-N-Stein and place him into this spooky cute scene. I can’t wait to see what you create. But before you head off to gather your stamps, papers and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible “Teamies”, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some “Comment Love”. It brightens our day!

It’s Lazy Stamper Ann here. Once again, I am letting the paper do all of the work. In the case of this card, the workhorse is the Spooky Sweet Specialty designer series paper. Although I did stamp and color the adorable pup with Stampin’ Blends, the rest of the images are precut and included with the designer paper. One of the patterns of paper includes a series of little scenes, of which I selected the front of a “spooky cute” house. The “Spooky” sentiment is from the Spooky Halloween stamp set, which is part of this Spooky Sweet suite. Since every card deserves a little bling, I went wild with basic rhinestones and a glittery jelly roll pen. Now call me crazy, but this one is headed off to “Kia the Boxer”, one of the last two Muffy daughters, along with some yummy treats. Nueve and Sixxy wanted to make certain their Aunty Kia had a spooky cute Halloween.

  1. Ann, fabulous card! I loved looking at your little scene and seeing all sorts of different things. Your little franken-pup seems to be so happy with his lollipop and makes me smile. The rhinestones in the OO are just such an Ann touch! Loved all of it it!
    hugs

  2. Ann, you’ve created such a fun spooky-sweet card! Love the Franken-pup and the scene from the dsp is fabulous. The fairy bear flying above made me giggle! It’s a great card and kudos for letting the dsp do almost all the work!

  3. Hey, I am all about letting the paper do the grunt work…and in this case, you’ve showcased it perfectly! What a fun scene, and I love the glittery effects from the jelly roll! Awesome, fun Halloween card!

  4. Joanne James - The Crafty Owl

This is such a fun Halloween scene Ann – and that Franken-pup is the perfect focal point for your card to accompany some spooky puppy treats!

  5. A flying princess bear! I can’t see past that beauty, except to see that it’s a very cute scene. 🙂

  6. Claire Broadwater

Ann, this is the best. I love the spooky scene and this paper sure is amazing! That little FrankenPup and the Beary Fairy made me smile! Someone sure will be smiling when they receive this card! Thank you for making my challenge shine! Have a great week, My Friend!

  7. Love your spooky scene, Ann! It’s okay to be a lazy stamper sometimes, after all, when the patterned paper is so cute it deserves to take the spotlight! Thanks to my drama queen appendix, I haven’t sent out any Halloween cards yet, but I’m hoping to fix that tomorrow. In the meantime, my girl Daphne is telling me I should pay attention to her…we got her at the beginning of November last year so she’s never had to do Halloween costumes. I am sure she will have opinions about that!

  8. Cute card Ann!

  9. Bonnielee McGuire

    Absolutely adorable!
