Ready for a little crafting fun? How about creating a recycled or repurposed card? It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

The talented Jan is our hostess this week, and what a fun challenge she has for us: Recycling Is In! Recycle or repurpose something to use on your card. I can’t wait to see what YOU recycle or repurpose.

Colors Of The Day

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
I have always admired Stampin’ Up!’s floral grid paper, so much that I ordered three packages of it back in the day. As I was struggling for something to create for this recycled or repurposed card challenge and racking my brain over what I could possibly recycle or repurpose, I looked down at my grid paper and thought, “Why not”. I know others have repurposed the grid paper, but I decided to “dress it up” a smidge. The slimline design was perfect for showing off the larger spray of flowers, which I turned on edge. Mats of Poppy Parade and Sea Storm cardstocks enhance the gorgeous, vibrant colors of the blooms. The discontinued Enduring Beauty stamp set was the source of this lovely sentiment, which seemed perfect for this card. It was inked in Sea Storm and stamped onto the grid paper. It was die cut out using one of the Enduring Beauty dies.

Ann, I love that grid paper, too and I love that you used it for a slimline. It’s perfect! Great take on the challenge

Ann, this was a genius idea! I love that you recycled the grid paper! Those flowers are stunning and the color combo beautiful! I always adore a slim-line card, too! Have a great weekend!!!!!
What a great idea!!! I love this card!! I have multiple packs of this myself!!!
What a fabulous idea! I confess that I almost used a piece of wrapping paper for my card! Those florals look amazing with the background gridwork–no one would know what its original purpose was! Fabulous!
What a great idea Ann – this grid paper is definitely card-worthy! I have some of it, and some vintage Christmas grid paper that would work too I think – now you’ve got me thinking lol!
Ann… GREAT idea! so creative.
Grid Paper! Who had thought that it would make such a lovely slimline card.
Looks like I may need to dig out and dust off my grid paper that I have had stored away for years.
Now that’s a really clever idea! Love that slimline spray of flowers. I confess I’ve not got any of that grid paper – don’t know why not when it’s this pretty! The colours you’ve chosen for the base and matte are just right for bringing out the colours. 🙂
I have never once thought of repurposing my grid paper and I am sooo impressed with how you used it, Ann! The stamped florals are beautiful and I love the slimline design. Just a gorgeous card!
LOVE IT Ann! i also LOVE that grid paper so much i re-use both sides LOL
Very clever! The grid paper makes a pretty card! I love the colors!
No notes from Nueve?
I love this and what a great idea! I reuse parts of cards or embelishments, lace, napkins etc. just the other day while walking with Ted I found a wad of wire that was flattened by a heavy truck. I scooped it up and am just waiting to use this wad of swirled flattened wire. This worked so well for the “business” sized card to get all those pretty flowers in. The mats are perfect as well. Love it!
Ann, thanks for the idea of using the grid paper. I have numerous pads also.
Far out!!
