Looking for a card to make spirits soar? How about a hot air balloon in primary hues of red, yellow and blue! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.
It’s color challenge week at The Paper Players. The incredible Stef is our hostess and she is challenging us to use the primary colors of red, yellow and blue. What a delightful trio! I can’t what to see what YOU create with these cheery hues!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Since I seldom use primary colors, I had to think a bit as to what I wanted to do. That is when I thought it would be fun to recreate a card I did for a different color challenge way back in February. I know I am always saying that I would love to “redo” a card in different colors…and this time I DID! For the February challenge, the colors were Bubble Bath, Berry Burst, Smoky Slate and White. These colors were right up my alley and I LOVED the card I made. But you know what? I think I like this Hot Air Balloon in primary hues of red, yellow and blue just as much, and maybe even a tad better. Thank you, Stef, for opening my eyes as to how fun these primary colors can be!

Ann, I just love this card. The clouds, that fabulous balloon and that red polka dot bow! That postal edge is the perfect finishing touch.

Color choices can make a real difference in the overall design of a card. The Red, Yellow and Blue scheme creates drama and is perfect for any child. Your big bright Bow is fun. Great card, Ann! Cheers, Jolanda
I’m loving the brightly coloured balloon, but it’s the embossed base and that fab dotty ribbon that really give this card added pizzazz Ann – fabulous!
What a great design with that fabulous hot air balloon, Ann! The fancy scallops around the balloon and that gorgeous bow are such wonderful details. Gorgeous card!
Up, up and away! What a fabulous way to use these colors! That big bold ribbon complements that big bold balloon, too!
Ann… I have seen a couple air balloons of late. They are so much fun! Great card.
These cheery colours suit the hot air balloon so well! I love that wide embossed border around the main panel – my second favourite embossing folder in action. 🙂 It’s amazing the difference a bit of a colour switch can make, isn’t it? I love this bright beauty!
Ann, this is a FANTASTIC way to use the primary colors! I would love to take a ride in this hot air balloon! The scallop details and the beautiful bow, steal the show! This card is so happy and certain to brighten someone’s day! Have a great week, My Friend!
That’s an exciting card. I really love the clouds ; )
