Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp cool temperatures and the subsequent turning colors of the leaves. Yep! It’s true…in a season of giving thanks, I’m thankful for autumn leaves. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.
September has five Sundays which means it’s time for Tic Tac Toe! The sweet and talented Claire is our hostess, and what a delightful board she has for us!
I selected the middle vertical row of patterned paper, die cut, and fall to create my “I’m Thankful for Autumn Leaves” card. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

When I saw the Season of Elegance designer series paper in the Mini Catalog, I immediately fell in love with it. I love to make cards that have a touch of elegance. With its gold accents and rich colors, this designer paper is perfect for this style of card. As for the leaves, when I saw Claire’s Tic Tac Toe grid, I knew I would be making another card using the Autumn Leaves dies. They are my “go-to” leaf dies. Yep! I’m grateful for Autumn Leaves! To add texture, I embossed them. Of course, I can never resist adding a few “twigs” behind them. I created them from gold foil using the same dies that were used to create the veins of the leaves.

What a gorgeous card, Ann! I too love adding gold for a touch of elegance but I also love the cozy touch you gave the card with the embossed leaves and especially the ribbon. Delicious creation!
This is fabulous! I love the greens turning into rich autumnal tones. Stamping the sentiment on DSP looks fantastic. Embossing the leaves makes them even more appealing. This is such a lovely creation!

This is fabulous Ann – so much colour and texture to those lovely fall leaves and the colours are so evocative of the changing seasons. I love the way you incorporated the gold/green paper too – I actually think this is quite a tricky paper to use without it looking like like camo!
