The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
I have never ridden in a hot air balloon. My fear of heights precludes me from doing that very thing. However, I do LOVE stamping balloons. My Berry Burst balloon sports a Bubble Bath middle band, adorned with a lacy and feminine Basic White overlay. It soars in an embossed sky among a few clouds and a trio of Berry Burst gems. Of course, all the time I was making it, the song “Up, Up And Away” by The Fifth Dimension kept dancing through my head. I hadn’t thought of this song in decade. I will say that at age 70, I now find the lyrics beautiful. But in 1968, at the age of 14, not so much.

Ann, when I first seen your card, that was the song that popped into my head, which really made me feel older. I graduated from high school back in ’68’ and was really popular song back then. What memories.

Well, now of course I have that song in my head, LOL! But what a fabulous inspiration for it! The way you tied all these colors together with this beautiful balloon is just astounding! The clouds, the embossing, the gems, THE RIBBON….it’s just wonderful! I would find it hard to send out this work of art, I’d want to keep it for myself!
I would totally like to ride in your balloon Ann – this isn’t something I’ve ever done either, but it does look like fun! This one is so pretty in pink (love the embossed cloud background too!) and if heights are not your thing, this is a lovely way to enjoy the idea at least!

Love the hot air balloon. We were so lucky to have been given a hot air balloon for our anniversary one year. It was really special……except for a bruised knee on the landing. 🙂

I love this card and the song too! I am definitely going to recreate a similar card of my granddaughter’s 17th birthday. And I am going to use the words to the song too! She is really into the music of that era! Thanks for sharing!
There are two things I love the most about this card – I mean I love the card, all of it, of course, but the two things are surprising – it’s pink not blue as one might expect, and the clouds hanging over the sides – love it!!!!
