Christmas Pinecone Card

The July – December Mini Catalog is filled with some fabulous holiday bundles. One of my favorites is Christmas to Remember.  The stunning Christmas Pinecone dies are just perfect for creating a holiday card, which despite its ornate look, is on the quicker and easier side to create.   I hope you enjoy today’s Christmas Pinecone card. It’s  time to play at Festive Friday, home of the “Inspo List”!

Christmas Pinecone card
For this week’s challenge, we are inspired by International Bat Day. Remember,  at Festive Friday,  you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project. I used black, silver, and sequins on my card this week. As you can see, this Christmas Pinecone card has nothing to do with bats!  I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

All it really took to create today’s card was giving the arm muscles a workout with the Stampin’ Cut &  Emboss machine.  And seriously, this machine cranks so smoothly and easily, it wasn’t much of a workout.  The base layer of pinecones was die cut from Basic Black cardstock. The overlay was die cut from silver foil, and the pine cones were die cut from gold foil.   Add a sentiment, accent with a bow and sequins, and you are done.  The result is a sophisticated Christmas card in non-traditional colors.  How fun is that! However, I must confess, I added rhinestones over the sequins for just a tad more bling.
