It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the lovely Claire has a theme challenge for us: Give Thanks! How perfect for this time of year!
I love creating fall/Thanksgiving thank you cards.  For this one, I wanted to create something elegant, yet easy. The result is indeed both of these things. I hope you enjoy today’s easy and elegant thank you card!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This is such a fun card to make. Very Vanilla cardstock serves as the card base for this card. Copper Foil is used as the matting layer, and of course it was used for the elegant die cut leaves which were created using the Detailed Leaves thinlits. A little copper metallic thread serves as an accent, as does a double Merry Merlot & Copper reversible ribbon bow.
The sentiment is from the Falling For Leaves stamp set. It was inked in Merry Merlot, and stamped onto Whisper White. Layering Circles framelits were used to cut it out, and to die cut the Copper Foil scalloped circle. As a little helpful hint, make certain no stray dog hairs are on the stamp as you ink it up, as it will cause a little line like we see here between the “t” and “h”. (wink)
The real scene stealer on this card is the background texture. I used Shimmery White embossing paste and the Brick pattern from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks collection to create it. It’s absolutely stunning in person, and so easy to do. Just make certain you allow it to dry completely before continuing with the rest of the card.
Easy and elegant!  Don’t you just love that textured background? I’ll be anxious to hear what you think, so don’t forget to leave a comment. And don’t forget to visit the rest of the Design Team for more inspiration!

Oh Ann, you made my challenge shine with this gorgeous card! I love the embossing paste and the shimmer! The copper makes such a statement and that bow. Just WOW! Hope you are having a great time in FL! XX
Ann, I love the copper foil especially mixed with the softness of the shimmering embossing paste. You are right, this is a wonderfully elegant card!

Wow Ann, this card is a real show-stopper! That glittery embossing paste background is amazing!
Yes I most certainly do like that sparkly embossing paste background Ann – along with the copper foil and fabulous bow it makes for a ‘wow’ chic and elegant card. And not a pearl in sight??!
Ann…I so love the embossing paste background…especially with the leaves and your colors!

You’re absolutely right………..it is elegant! That bow and the foil paper really make the card! And I didn’t know that SU had embossing paste. It really adds one more dimension to the card!
Beautiful, Ann! The more I use Merry Merlot, the better I like it. It works so well with copper – a marriage made in heaven, as this card shows so well. The little twirl of copper thread is just the clincher.
This is simply stunning….love those rich brown and copper colors!
Stunning, beautiful, awesome card!!! Simple too. What more can you ask for. Love the colors too.
Inky hugs,
Terry~~
That embossed background is beautiful…your whole card is!
As always your card is so beautiful! I love the stamp and die set that you used. I love that you used the copper paper. Gorgeous!
I will be CASEing this beauty! Thank you, Ann!
I agree the brick pattern gives this lushes looking card the final finish. Merry Merlot and copper are stunning tog.
Lovely, Ann! I really enjoy using the embossing paste and stencils. I’ve used the plain embossing paste and then sprinkled it with dazzling diamonds…a beautiful effect if you can get the diamonds on before the paste dries. I’m going to have to add the shimmery white to my supplies. 🙂 Pet hair…it’s always a challenge, isn’t it? lol Your card is beautiful all over! Happy Fall, Ann!
