Yikes! I can’t believe Christmas is upon us! In the hectic rush of the past few days, I managed to make and address all of my holiday cards, as well as shop for loved ones, and take care of five furry monsters in this dangerous cold we have had here in Southeast Iowa. Before heading into the next round of holiday preparations, I decided to take a break and play along with the talented designers at Freshly Made Sketches. I felt JenT’s sketch was perfect for showcasing the Carousel Horse from the upcoming Occasions Catalog stamp set, Carousel Birthday. I hope you enjoy today’s card as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide x 5-1/2″ long when folded.
I fell in love with the Carousel Horse the moment I laid eyes on this set! I colored sections of it with Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils from Stampin’ Up! I used a Blender Pen to activate the color. It was so easy!

If you look closely, you can see in the following photo the shimmer added with a Clear Wink of Stella pen. It adorns the mane and tail, as well as the pole.
To add to the bling, I couldn’t resist adding rhinestones to the pennant border, which was snipped from Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper.

From this angle, you can see I snipped out the horse, and popped him up on Stampin’ Dimensionals:

Isn’t this paper gorgeous? It is just one of the many patterns which will be offered in my annual Occasions Catalog Product Shares (paper, ribbons, embellies, I Want It All). I will be sharing details with you right here on the blog later this week. If you want to secure a spot in the shares, I can tell you that the “I Want It All Share” will be $45, shipping included! Just email me if interested!
Time is ticking away for me to get my card uploaded to the challenge, but I will be back this week with Product Share Information (or you can email me for a link to the information), a quick and easy last minute Christmas card, Boxer Pictures, my famous “Momma’s Candy” recipe and more. If you do not have an affiliation with a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and need an Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure, just let me know! I can drop one in the mail for you pronto. If you are already my customer, yours are in the mail! As always, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

I remember these guys and your rendition has taken me home again. Love your talent. Pity the Wink of Stella doesn’t photograph well.
Fabulous creation, as always, Ann! The color choices are fabulous and your other accessories are perfect! Thank you for sharing this beauty with us!
Such a cute and fun card. Love the pennants adorned with rhinestones and your beautifully-colored carousel horse. I have always liked carousels and you certainly brought this one to life. Stay warm and enjoy the holidays.
Thank you for sharing this card. I was wondering what to do with this set and am happy to see one. Please bring on more inspiration…and thank you for the upcoming occasions catalog.
Lovely. Exactly the way this stamp set was intended and perfect for your signature style!
What a beautiful card, Ann. I’m sure it’s even prettier in real life! I love the new dp and can hardly wait till my order gets here Wednesday. I was on the fence about this stamp set but…well, you’ve pushed me over to needing it! Love all your beautiful details. The banner is amazing. I’m looking forward to coloring with the new colored pencils too. It has been cold here in Iowa and I’m 3 hours northwest of you! Brrrr
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Ann!
LOVE your use of the banner under the carousel horse! SO charming! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Oooooh, MsAnn that is so beautiful. That takes me back 60yrs back , lol

So glad you took a break to play with this set, Ann! Besides the awesome job with the horse, I love the pennants across the bottom with the jewels and the bejeweled stars! Hugs and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Hi, I love your card, my grand daughter would be delighted! I have never purchased any stamping up products and would love to have a look at a catalogue! I am in Canada, Vancouver Island, British Columbia! Do you have an online catalogue? Thank you again, I enjoy your artistic cards! Linda
I’ve been eye-balling this set, too, Ann…now I HAVE to have it! You did an awesome job with your colouring and card! Love that she’s popped up!
When I saw the carousel in the new mini I thought of you and thought this would make a great card – I bet Ann will do something cool with it. Yes, you did make a great card with it! Those little pennants add to the whimsy. Thank you for the catalogs, I have been sitting inside from this dreaded weather looking at them. Looking forward to seeing the boxer photos next time.
