Elegant Paisleys & Posies

IMG_7713-001

It’s Thursday, and we all know what that means! It’s time to play at Pals Paper Arts! This week our sketch is courtesy of the oh-so-sweet, Patti MacLeith!  Patti has such a flair for clean and classy, and I really wanted to do her sketch proud.  I inked up the new Paisleys & Posies stamp set and pulled out the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Paper.  Both are from the Holiday Catalog which is live TODAY!!!  Although this card looks complicated, it’s as easy as 1-2-3! Enjoy!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This folded card measures 5-1/2″ by 4-1/4″.

Elegance has never been easier! It’s all about the designer paper in this case.  The Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Paper collection features a beautiful floral motif in copper foil embossing against a Night of Navy background.  A few strategically placed pearls completes the look.  How easy is this!

In keeping with the metallic copper color scheme, the sentiment was inked in VersaMark and heat embossed with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Copper foil accents were created using the Paisley Framelits Dies.  Of course, I just had to add a few more pearls!

IMG_3298-002I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  It really is a simple card to make.  Yes, you have to get out the heat tool, but the embossed sentiment is definitely worth it.  I know that when I put in my order today, I am going to have to order more Copper Foil.  It is gorgeous!

After a month away from the ring, Jackie is heading out on the show circuit again.  We have shows scheduled the next two months until Jackie receives his champion title.  We are just one win away! Keep your fingers crossed that he gets that final win sooner than later.  Here he is catching up on his beauty sleep! What a character!

  1. Elegant is right–navy and copper are beautiful together.

Good luck Jackie! You look darling sleeping.

  2. Stunning card! The exciting thing is that it’s not hard to make. Probably placing all the pearls required the most dexterity. But they really give an added pizzazz!

  3. Best of luck on Jackie’s next win! He’s so gorgeous, how could he NOT win?

  16. OMG this is just drop dead gorgeous! I am almost speechless with the beauty and elegance of this card! I love the comment, “A few strategically placed pearls completes the look.” You had me at just the plain crumb cake and night of navy but that copper just sends it over the top! I have always loved the look of paisleys so this also was a no brainer for me to love. If this card doesn’t have a recipient in mind, I would love to see it in MY mailbox! That copper foil is the best!

Ted’s muzzle looked full like Jackie’s all puffed out during his nap only Ted was from all the bee stings last week. Today, he is just fine but the bees are back and making a nest behind the window screen to a basement window which is under the main bird feeder and main walkway to the back yard. YIKES. Wishing Jackie his big win the this weekend at the first show. He truly is a champion just like this card.

  17. Wowza this is gorgeous girl! I love the copper with the navy! And I am still wild about the bit of pink on Jackie’s nose!

  18. Beautiful and elegant card.
    Best of luck to Jackie
