Sparkle and Shine for Pals Paper Arts

IMG_3140

It’s Thursday and time to play with the Sketch Team at Pals Paper Arts!  This week’s fun sketch is courtesy of Susan Itell.  When I first saw this sketch, I felt it was a super one for emphasizing a sentiment.  So out came the Sparkle & Shine stamp set.  Of course, how could I not add some sparkle and shine to today’s card! I hope you enjoy this clean and simple “sparkler”!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ high when folded.

This card is definitely all about the sparkle.  From Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper

to Rhinestones

to a single Iced Rhinestone embellishment…

this card couldn’t be any easier!  The Basic Black and Whisper White color scheme is classy and sophisticated. I used the Diagonal Plate and Simply Scored tool to emboss diamonds on the the black strip.  The intersections served as a guide for placement of the rhinestones, while adding textural interest on this clean card.  Although it does not show up clearly in the pictures, Clear Wink of Stella adds a subtle sheen to the rays extending from the “diamond”.

I can’t wait to make a few more of these to have on hand.  I feel they can be used for a variety of occasions.  I will be sending this one out as a “thank you” card, but I could see it used for friendship and birthday cards, too.

As always, if you ever have a question about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only email away.  Until next time…
