It’s time to play with The Paper Players! This week the lovely LeAnne has a Clean and Simple Challenge for us…The Beach! Now I am a dyed-in-the-wool Stampin’ Up! stamper, and I rarely ever use a non-Stampin’ Up! stamp. But today I pulled out a never-used set by Our Craft Lounge called Treasured Friend. It is a set I was given when I was designing for Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen back in 2010. I thought it was perfect for this challenge!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Faux water coloring! Water coloring with Blender Pens and inks is quick and easy. I simply touch the tip of a Blender Pen to the ink pad itself, and color the image. Since it’s easier to add color than to remove it, I always test the color on scratch paper to make certain it is not too dark.
- Glitteriffic! The Sea Shell and Sea Horse from By the Tide were water-colored and then glittered. The new Fine Tip Glue Pen, available September 1st in the new Holiday Catalog, makes it a cinch to add glue…and glitter…exactly where you want it. Dazzling Diamonds is my glitter of choice for adding a touch of bling.
- Banner! The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. One end was punched into a “V”, courtesy of the Hexagon Punch. The other end was curled around a small, round file. If you don’t have small file, a wooden skewer works fine, too!

Brody
It is with sadness I have to report that Brody had a hemangiosarcoma removed from his side on Friday. Hemangiosarcoma is an aggressive, malignant tumor which almost always carries a poor prognosis. The exception to this is a hemangiosarcoma which originates in the skin and has not yet metastasized to the internal organs. Brody’s did indeed originate in the skin, and the surgeon went quite deep and wide in an attempt to get it all, as you can see in this photo.
We will know if she was successful when we get the results of the biopsy next week. Of course, the entire family has been on an emotional roller coaster. We can only hope and pray we caught it early enough…

Your card is gorgeous Ann, this image is just lovely, it reminds me of those glorious Spring Break vacations my husband and I took with our grandchildren to Panama City, FL. This was the kids favorite thing to do on the beaches, collect sea shells.

Aw, so sorry to hear about Brody, but we’ll hope & pray for a good result! Meanwhile, your card is beautiful! I almost fell off my chair when I saw that image…I was pretty sure it wasn’t a SU one! I almost used a similar one (I have LOTS of beach stamps) so I was happy to see a wee one by the seashore playing with her shells!

I love the image and can just image a sweet little girl collecting shells. We just returned from the beaches of Maine and we collected sand dollars, it was so much fun! I love your coloring and soft pretty colors. The glitter is perfect too.

I am praying that Brody will be fine. Poor Brody didn’t need these problems. Cookie sends him tail wags and I send him big hugs. Cookie now has Congestive heart failure and her kidneys are tired and not working real good. You would never know it by the way she acts, So we are not telling her lol.
