Market Fresh for Pals Paper Arts

IMG_2747It’s Thursday, and time to play at Pals Paper Arts! It’s a color challenge this week:  Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise.  At first, I was leaning toward something Halloween, but the Turquoise was throwing it off a wee bit.  I took a look in the catalog to see what Designer Papers had these colors in them.  I picked the Farmers Market paper, specifically the gorgeous gingham plaid pattern.  It wasn’t until the card was completed and I was writing my post that I realized the error of my ways.  Yikes!  This pattern paper is Blackberry Bliss.  But you know what? That’s the beauty of Stampin’ Up!  Everything coordinates so well!  At least the card stock I used is Rich Razzleberry, and so is the ink I used to watercolor the grapes. At any rate, I hope you enjoy my mistake!

PPA263The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

  • Great grapes! There is something about the Market Fresh stamp set that caught my eye when I saw it in the new Annual Catalog.  Maybe it is my love of water coloring which makes this set so appealing.  The images are perfect for faux water coloring, using Blender Pens and inks.  It was stamped with new Archival Basic Black ink (in the new Holiday Catalog).  I LOVE this ink.  The image was crisp and clean, and it worked perfectly with Blender Pens.  There was no smearing at all. I can’t wait for you to try it!

  • Bump it up! One way to add depth is to snip out the banner and bump it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.  It is so easy to snip out,  but what a difference this makes!

  • Layered ribbons!  Pear Pizzazz ribbon is layered over the new Rich Razzleberry Into the Woods 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon. What fabulous texture this ribbon has! Although you only see a snippet of it, it definitely adds to the card.

  • Layered labels! The new Lots of Labels Framelits are perfect for layering. The Very Vanilla and Pear Pizzazz labels are the same size. The Pear Pizzazz one was simply cut in half!

I like it a bunch! The grapes look so yummy! Such great coloring! Great idea of popping up the sentiment. Loving the framelits you used. Of course though, I really love the gingham print. I still can’t believe there isn’t a pearl hidden there! Wouldn’t this be fun to be the new grape jam label for Smuckers?
