Butterfly Basics for PPA 234

WM
It’s time to play at Pals Paper Arts! Team One, my former team, has a beautiful color challenge for us this week: Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder, and Silver.  I just couldn’t wait to pull out Butterfly Basics, one of the wonderful sets from the new Occasions Catalog, and play along.  Enjoy!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Butterfly beauties! The butterflies were stamped with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White cardstock.  If you are not a fan of fussy cutting, don’t despair.   The smaller butterfly can be punched out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch, while the larger butterfly fits one of the new Butterfly Thinlits dies.  Of course, I couldn’t pass up coloring a few pearls with Wisteria Wonder Blendabilities.  Even butterflies look perfect in pearls!

  • Blender pen blossoms! The flower was colored with blender pens and Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi ink.  A little touch of Daffodil Delight accents the middle of the open blossom.

  • Double delightful bow!  Night of Navy Seam Binding makes a perfect double bow.  I snipped off the ends for a more tailored look.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Although this marks the first time I have inked up Butterfly Basics, I know I am going to LOVE this set!  Won’t you let me know what think in your comment today? Have you already picked out a favorite from the new catalog?

And speaking of enjoying, I hope you enjoy my new blog look.  Brian Watt, from Integrant Services, did an excellent job of importing all of my blog posts to a WordPress blog.  It was a daunting task, but Brian was able to move my pictures and maintain the integrity of my blog header, which I still love.  He worked with me every step of the way to make certain The Stampin’ Schach looked the way I wanted.  Thank you so much, Brian!

Of course, with change comes learning. I ask that you bear with me while I learn the ins-and-outs of WordPress.  I am sure I will have my share of glitches!  So…in addition to today’s card, what do you think about the new blog look? Won’t you let me know in your comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them.  Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…
