Wednesday evening I held my annual soup supper for members of my Hostess Club. Every year I whip up a Crock Pot filled with Taco Soup, served with relishes and a dessert. After we eat, we create a card to give to our husbands. I usually try to design something romantic. I hope you enjoy this year’s card.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This card measures 4-1/4″ by 5-1/2″.
- Touches of snow! The “Speckles” image from Gorgeous Grunge is a perfect choice for softly falling snow. I inked it up with VersaMark, and then heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
- Touches of Gold! A second Pine Cone was inked in VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After a little snip-snip here and there, it was “popped” up on a Stampin’ Dimensional to add…what else…a little dimension!
- Touches of Love! I am fortunate to have the retired set, “Best of Love” in my possession. It is one of the sets with which I will never part. Why? Because of this single sentiment…the scripted “Love”. It was simply embossed in white to add a touch of romance and elegance. If you don’t have this sentiment, there are others which you can substitute. And you know what? The Hello Life set, from the new Occasions Catalog, does have a similar sentiment!
I love designing the Club cards we make for our husbands. I would have to say, it is probably my favorite meeting of the year. The meal may be simple, but the soup is excellent. (I have included the recipe in case you would like to try it.) But more importantly, you can feel the love that each one of us of adds to the card we are making.
