Welcome back for another round of inspiration from the Stamp Review Crew! This week we are featuring Work of Art. I am #2 on the hop. You may have just left stop #1: the talented Tanya Boser. If so, you are in the right spot. I decided to create holiday cards using this set..both with a country flair. I hope you enjoy today’s hop!
Card #1
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Tree! The Chevron image was inked with Always Artichoke and stamped several times onto Very Vanilla cardstock. (Tip: Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect alignment.) It was then punched using the Tree Punch. The medallion upon which it rests was created with Kraft and Cherry Cobbler cardstock, using Circle framelits and the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. Of course, Pearls are the perfect accents, along with a few gold sequins!
- Believe! This wonderful sentiment is from the Good Greetings host set. Inked in Soft Suede, it is perched atop a banner made with paper from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack.
- Star! The star embellishment was made by adhering a Gold Glimmer Paper star in the middle of the Star Basic Hodgepodge Clip. Once again, the occasion called for pearls!
Card #2
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Faux stitching! A trio of trees were punched from Whisper White cardstock. The Chevron stamp was inked with Garden Green, and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock, which was then adhered to the back of the punched panel. To make the trees stand out more and to add a touch of country, faux stitching was added.
- Hearts! The Heart image from Work of Art was inked with Cherry Cobbler and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. The resulting hearts were then punched out using the small Heart Punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
- Merry and bright! Once again, the Good Greetings host set provided the sentiment. Faux stitching adds a little something extra…don’t you think?
I hope you enjoyed these two holiday cards created with the Chevron and Heart images from Work of Art. Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.
Now it’s time to hop along to stop #3, Lisa Young. If you get lost along the way, visit The Stamp Review Crew blog for a list of all of the hoppers! Until next time…

I love how you used the same idea but created 2 totally different cards just by adding pearls or stitching. Awesome!
I can’t think of more words to express the Awe! I love Terri’s comment – I say SHAZAM!
I am always amazed by your attention to the every teeny tiny detail. A visual delight!
You are such a talented designer, Ann. I have featured your cards several times on my blog for my “One Stop, Blog Hop” feature. Just love your cards and always have gain inspiration from your talent. Thanks for sharing!!

You rock Ann – these are WONDERFUL! Love the creative juices here.
Wow, love your chevron trees, Ann! What a great idea! I especially like card #2. The plaid background and hearts give it a country feel.
Very clever and festive! Who would have thought to make these fun cards with that set? The chevron trees are just plain fun! Gotta hop along now!

I love both your cards. the first is a surprise of country with the background wood and just the colors, I love that faux stitching on the second one!! I didn’t think I would use this set too much… but turns out I love it! It’s not a set that would catch my eye initially. Hugs
Such lovely cards, Ann! I love the embossed star background on the first one! Very clever use of stamps and papers. As always, perfectly composed and just so pretty!
Good morning, Ann: I love this wonderful cards, I love the cozy Country feel of the colors and textures and all of those beautiful little details you always give to your creations. Thank you so much for sharing.
Love the cards! I have customers that don’t have the tree punch bc. they feel they can cut straight lines! I can now enable them by casing your faux-stitched card! Thanks for the inspiration!
Loving to see something different. Fabulous!
Two fab cards!
What fabulous cards!! Love the chevron trees…must add that set to my next order (I know how do I not have it already LOL!)
O my goodness – now I need the tree punch. How clever to use the chevron for Christmas trees! And I love your faux stitching. The card styles are different, but I love them both!
Gorgeous, Ann! I love the country take on the stamp and the cards. The pearls on the first and stitching on the second did it for me!
Sometimes when I see your cards, I catch myself uttering “Batman phrases”…you know, from the old tv show? Your first card elicited a “Zounds!” from me. You always amaze me with what you put together. Both of these cards are sheer Ann-perfection!
Ann, you amaze me every. single. time! Those trees are perfect, and all of your extra details are gorgeous. You have a wonderful way with the pearls 🙂 And I am so glad to see that the heart image punches out with the Itty Bitty heart punch!
