By the Tide for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players.  This week, Nance is inviting us to take part in her “Let’s Go the the Beach” Theme challenge. All you need to do is create a beach themed card or project.  I pulled out one of my favorite “beachy” stamp sets, By the Tide, and created another seahorse card.  I LOVE seahorses! I hope you enjoy today’s card.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ long by 4-1/4″ wide.

  • Sponge! The background was stamped with Stippled Blossoms, and then sponged with Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, and Pear Pizzazz.  The Seahorses, from By the Tide, were also sponged, and dusted with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  Of course, a few Sequins adds to the sparkle.
  • Dazzling! Dazzling Diamonds turn an ordinary shell, from By the Tide, into a sparkling masterpiece.
  • Wetlands! The Sandpipers from Wetlands were stamped and lightly water colored using an Aqua Painter filled with rubbing alcohol…for quick drying.  Some hemp twine, long since retired, was used to create the bow.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card as much as I enjoyed making it.  I LOVE the beach. I can think of nothing lovelier than falling asleep to the sound of the waves kissing the shore.  Your comments are important to me…and remember, if you have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…
