It’s Thursday, and time to play with the Pals at Pals Paper Arts! This week we have a sketch for you created by the talented Nicole Watt. It seemed like a perfect time to ink up the beautiful new set, Forever Florals. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Blendabilities! I love the new Blendabilities…Stampin’ Up!’s new alcohol based markers. The first six sets of colors, as well as the Color Lifter and Skin Tone assortment are going to be available for purchase beginning July 1st. For the center flower, I used the Pumpkin Pie collection, while the side flowers were colored using Daffodil Delight. Because Forever Florals did not have leaves, I stamped a few from Choose Happiness, and colored them using Old Olive Blendabilities.
- Lost Lagoon! My favorite new In-Color is Lost Lagoon. The Hardwood image looks beautiful stamped in it, pairing perfectly with the Pin Dot pattern from the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper collection.
- The Power of Pearls! What better way to add a simple accent to a banner than a trio of Pearls? Of course, every flower looks better with pearl centers!
In my haste to get my card photographed and emailed off to be uploaded to the PPA blog, I actually forgot to finish it. I had planned to add a ribbon and bow to the Hardwood panel, but I had already adhered it down. Now that I see it without, I think I rather like the slightly tailored look. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

Gorgeous card…even without the ribbon….your coloring is always the best and of course the pearls…love that you used the wood grain as the background. Really a beautiful card!!!!!!
Oh Ann, it is always such a treat to view your work! Thank you for all the inspiration!
You have great technique with those Blendabilities Ann! Breatakingly beautiful!
Love it love it love! Flowers on a fence, just like home : )
Very pretty! I love this card. Your coloring is fantastic. I like it without the bow as it really captures the beauty of the flowers and the grain of the hardwood stamp. I would never thought about stamping the hardwood in the Lost Lagoon but I like it! Yes, the leaves were a great addition.

Hi Ann,
I like the card the way it is and possibly a bow and ribbon might be too much.
Diana
Love the flowers. Great job blending. I like the card without a bow it’s a little different for you.
Gorgeous as always, but what did you use for the leaves. I looked but can’t seem to find the stamp! Great combination of color and pattern! (And pearls, of course!)
The flowers are beautiful against the hardwood background!
Gorgeous card, Ann! Those flowers are lovely – the blendabilities just takes things to another level, doesn’t it? Adding a ribbon and bow would also be pretty, but I think it is perfect just the way you finished it.
Love it exactly as is!
Very pretty flowers and what a neat layout!
Love your beautifully colored flowers against the woodgrain background. The Lost Lagoon does look like a pretty color.
Such nice colors you worked with, love it. The wood grain stamp is so versatile and looks super against the cardstock.
i can just picture a bow on the left side of the leaves but it also looks just fine without one …great card 😉
So pretty, Ann! Love those gorgeous flowers against the hardwood background.
Hi Ann! I love this color combo and the pretty flowers! The airy leaf sprigs are perfect with your bouquet. Without a bow looks stunning to me so I wouldn’t give it another thought. lol. Have a happy day!
Ann this card is amazing! I love how you stamped in the background wood panel in lagoon… i just love that color, but you’ve paired it with orange / yellow and it looks even better! Is that possible? …..Just gorgeous. … BUT now you’ve made me want the blendabilities and I told myself NO… you have enough “stuff”!
Hugs.
Beautiful! I am loving those blendabilities also!
Beautiful! I think with or without the bow works fine. 🙂
Beautiful card Ann. Like your floral bouquet against the woodgrain backing. Makes the colors really pop and I really don’t think it needed the ribbon. It’s gorgeous just as is and gives your flowers the center of attention.
Sometimes less is best so they say.
Enjoy your day and have a wonderful evening
What a beauty, Ann! Love your coloring and that hardwood background. It’s perfect bowless, Friend!
