A Red, White and Blue Masculine Card for Pals Paper Arts

It’s Thursday, and time to play at Pals Paper Arts. This week we have a Red, White and Blue color challenge for you.  Although our badge says Midnight Muse, please feel free to substitute Night of Navy, if you wish.  I decided to make a masculine card using patterns from the new Maritime Designer Series Paper Collection. I hope you like today’s card.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • A beautiful mix! In addition to cute and whimsical patterns on one side, the Maritime Designer Series Collection has a beautiful mix of sophisticated patterns on the flip sides. I love the Sailor’s Knot and Anchor patterns, which coordinate beautifully with the Real Red Small Grid paper.

  • Perfect for pearls! To add a touch of interest, Pearls were added to the center of each knot.
  • Selectively inked! My favorite sentiment from the Really Good Greetings set was selectively inked using Real Red and Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Markers.

When I saw the Pals had a red, white and blue challenge this week, I was in a panic.  I had just created a red, white and blue card for last Sunday’s Paper Player challenge.  But when it was all said and done, I was pleased with how this card came together.  As for the pearls, the men in my life are used to getting cards with pearls on them. However, they could just as easily be left off, if desired.  What do you think of today’s card? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me. And remember, if you have any questions about the cards I creat or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…
