The Stamp Review Crew: Wetlands Edition

Welcome back for another round of inspiration from the Stamp Review Crew This week we are featuring one of my favorite sets…Wetlands.

I am #10 on the hop. You may have just left stop #9: Holly Krautkremer.  If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup at the end of this post will help you move along from blog to blog so you don’t miss a single exciting creation.

I decided to create a Christmas card using the Circle Card Thinlet.  I hope you enjoy this Christmas Goose!

The Stampin’ Schach Design TipsThis finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.

  • Use your imagination!  While I would have loved to stamp a few snowflakes in the background, I played by the Stamp Review Crew guidelines of using a single stamp set, with the exception of sentiments.  I put on my thinking cap and decided that the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder could be used to represent big, puffy snowflakes…if you used your imagination.  Of course, to add a little “wow”, I added pearls.
    • Christmas Goose! I watercolored the Goose image using Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, and Cajun Craze inks and a Blender Pen. I snipped him out, and placed him behind some snow drifts.  Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter adds a shimmer, as if it is newly fallen snow.

    • Merry Christmas! The Merry Christmas sentiment, from Teeny Tiny Wishes, seemed like the perfect way to finish this clean card.

I had fun keeping this card clean.  This design may be the one for this year’s Christmas cards.  What do you think of it? Won’t you let me know in your comment today?  Of course, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use,  I am only an email away. Make sure you check out the next stop to see what creative and fun goodies the incredibly talented Cindy Beach has created for you!
    Until next time…
