It’s time to play with The Paper Players! This week we have a Clean and Simple Floral challenge for you. I decided to use one of the new 2014 – 2016 In Colors, Lost Lagoon and the floral spray from Happy Watercolor. I love this new color. In fact, I love all of the new In-Colors! Enjoy today’s card!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Clean and Simple
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Watercolor! The Floral Spray from Happy Watercolor was stamped with Jet Black StazOn onto watercolor paper. It was then colored using the new In Color ink, Lost Lagoon, and Blender Pens. The stem was colored with Wild Wasabi. Of course, a few pearls make the perfect floral centers.
- Texture! Very Vanilla Core’dinations Cardstock adds a beautiful linen-like texture to any project. Core’dinations is on the Retiring Accessories list, but is still available while supplies last. It pairs beautifully with Lost Lagoon cardstock. The gorgeous bow is made from the new Lost Lagoon ribbon. To give the bow a more tailored look, I trimmed the tails short and adhered them to the back of the bow with glue dots.
- Stampin’ on the card base! For a cleaner look, the Thank You sentiment was stamped in Lost Lagoon directly onto the card stock. How quick and easy!
Don’t you love Lost Lagoon? There has been a lot of discussion about how it, and the other new In-Colors, are similar to current colors. But I feel that the color is richer…deeper…more vibrant. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. And remember…if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

Ann, I love your beautifully colored and very fussy cut flowers! You really are the queen of coloring:-) I love Lost Lagoon, it’s going to be one of my favorite In Colors, I think. Hope you had a wonderful – and successful time in Kalamazoo.

Ann, this card is so beautiful. I love, love, love the Lost Lagoon color. You never fail to inspire me. Thanks so much for sharing all of your beautiful ideas and creations.
We do have quite alot of blue selections to chose from in the SU colors, but I think Lost Lagoon will be one of my faves! I love the “dustiness” of it. Also love how you used it with so much texture in your layers. Great card, great challenge!
Love your card Ann – it shows off Lost Lagoon perfectly. I think I’m going to like this colour – not to mention that lovely satin ribbon!
I turned my head for a minute after I clicked on your blog and when I turned back I actually had to catch my breath! This is stunning and I think a lot of it is due to the color – about which my first thought was how deep and rich! And as you know, I don’t like blue. Wow! I saw on someone’s blog where they put the new in colors next to the two closest to them and there really is a good bit of difference. gorgeous card – gorgeous color!
What’s not to love about this gorgeous card Ann? I really love it. I love water coloring any chance I get, so well done on your beautiful card, another great inspiration of yours. Nicole
Your card is beautiful Ann. I see that you have added pearls. I look forward to seeing how you will add pearls to one of your beautiful creations.
I *love* the new in color Lost Lagoon. It is very rich looking and a must have for me. š Did you color the pearls the pretty green or are they new too? Thank you for the preview Ann.

GORGEOUS!!!! Love that stamp set and I agree about the new In Colors…finally another yellow to love! Lost Lagoon is such a beautiful blue….and the way you colored it, really wonderful!
Your card and the new In-Color are both pretty. Love the delicate floral image.
A standout – not just the card but the beautiful cut out flowers. I know I’ve said it before but you really do take clean & simple to another level.
This is one of the prettiest cards I have ever seen. Love everything about it! If I made this card, it would be framed and placed in a position of prominence inside my front door with a sign that said, “YES! I made this!!!”….
Ah, so rich and beautiful! So rich in details with that stunning bow, embossing and those wonderful pearls! Your watercoloring is gorgeous as always. I can’t wait to see this lagoon color up close and personal. Another wonderful card!

Oh My, you really made this color look 100% better than the catty did. You made me a believer. This card is magnificent and I can’t wait to try it. I wish you would include the size of your layers for those of us who aren’t so gifted at guessing. Just makes it easier and the card goes quicker. Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely piece of art.
Such a beautiful card. I love the new color and the ribbon looks so rich. Where did spring go? It is been so cold here in central IL and way too much rain for our farmers. I need to bale my grass. Darlene
Oh my! This is so beautiful! I really love the colors! I really believe that this will be my fav color! I also am waiting for my SU order to arrive. That will be Tues. I should have expressed the delivery!!
Gorgeous card, as always! Love the new ribbon. : )

Just beautiful Ann! I am loving Lost Lagoon as well as the other new In Colors, they are so elegant!
It’s Sunday morning…and I get to have a second cuppa…and pore over my new SU catalog….so I’m going to finally get to see the new in colors! Love this card…and this color is so rich and inviting. I love it!
I agree Ann; the new In Colors are absolutely stunning — very rich and elegant; and they appear to pair beautifully with the other colors in our regular collections. That excites me š It’s going to be a fun year with our new color set !! Wendy K.
Lovely as always, Ann. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of this Lost Lagoon ink and paper, it’s really gorgeous. I’m in awe at your paper snipping skills, I don’t do this often but I know how hard it is to get into the small spaces like you did on this impeccable cut out flowers.
Thank you so much for sharing and have a great Sunday.
