It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! The talented Sandy Mathis has a trio of gorgeous colors for us this week: Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron. I decided to ink up a stamp from the Occasions catalog, So Very Grateful. I hope you enjoy today’s fun and fresh card.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Painted posies! The Floral Spray from So Very Grateful was watercolored using Blender Pens and inks. The image was stamped a second time, and two fronds of leaves and the center blossom were colored and snipped out. To add depth, they were popped up on dimensionals. Pearls bedeck the centers of the flowers for a sweet touch.
- Tempting texture! The Calypso Coral banner was passed through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It pairs great with the polka dots, don’t you think?
- Dotty about dots! I love this Calypso Coral polka dotted paper from the I am Me Designer Series Paper Collection. It’s a fun pattern. I will be sad to see it go. However, I know I will find a paper from the new catalog to take its place! Of course, the “thank you” sentiment could very easily be replaced with a “birthday” or “thinking of you” sentiment, if desired.
I hope those of you who are celebrating Mother’s Day have a lovely one. I will spend extra time snuggling with the furbabies today. Brady is gearing up for his jury and orals, and is not able to come home. In fact, it will be a few weeks before I get to see him. After graduation, he is heading to Italy with the University of Missouri Wind Ensemble. Not only will he play, he will also get time for sight-seeing. How awesome! I’m a little sad that he will not be with me today, but we’ll make certain to celebrate when he does come back. In the meantime, I can reminisce about the earlier years!

Just gorgeous, Ann! I love the mix of polka dots on the DSP and the banner. Of course, the pearls are the perfect touch. I know I’m late but Happy Mother’s Day, my friend. Sorry that you can’t spend it with Brady but it sounds like he is doing some amazing things. Hug those boxer babies and make sure you give yourself a big hug from me. 🙂

Beautiful card Ann. I hope you enjoyed the day with the fur babies. When your children grow up, it’s rare today that they live nearby. I’ve learned you just cherish the times you do have. Really gets tough when the grandchild comes along. Can attest to that. Have a great week.

Happy Mother’s Day, Ann! We just came home from our “baby’s” Master’s Degree ceremony. He will work for App State implementing a program he wrote for them to help at risk students find their footing, then in July, he will start his “real job” at Central Carolina University working in student development. So he isn’t home today, either. We have our memories to keep us company, though. Love the polka dots on this very pretty card! Hugs!
