When I saw this week’s Paper Players challenge, Three Spree…use three of something on your card…the Blessed Easter Tulips immediately came to mind. I snipped off the sentiment, leaving just the tulips, and decided to tackle a clean and simple, quick and easy card. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Piece, baby! The Tulips were inked with Jet Black Stazon and stamped onto Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, and Old Olive Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper. I then snipped out the leaves from the Old Olive piece, and the blossoms from the other colors. The great thing about this is that I can quickly create two other cards simply by stamping the leaves again.
- Why, hello there! The “hello there” sentiment from Happy Days was inked in JetBlack StazOn and stamped onto Whisper White. A “V” was notched into one end with the Hexagon Punch, while an Old Olive Designer Button adorns the other.
Dog show season has started for the Schachs. Lexi and I are in Dekalb, IL this weekend. Hopefully she will return victorious. I will definitely keep you posted. She looked fabulous last week. Her weight is stabilizing at 55.5 pounds. Many of you emailed me, wondering how she did last Sunday. We are pleased to report that she WON…and was named Best of Winners! Woo hoo, Lexi Lou!
I hope you enjoyed today’s clean and simple card. Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me. Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

Such a fun and fresh approach! I really like it! The three candy dots add to the freshness! I gotta try piecing more often, it is such a fun approach. I am sure Lexi will wow the judges again this weekend! She is a natural!

I love this card…
I love this card too Ann
When I have an outline stamp it is easy to use DSP and make these designs so great. I cut the bottom of the Vivid Vases and I made some cool cards using DSP.

I love the Blessed Easter Stamp Set and I love your card!! It’s different with the polka dots for the entire floral image but definitely an eye catcher!! 🙂
Beautiful job with interpreting this stamp in paper piecing. It is a technique I really enjoy. My Easter cards are not yet made and I think I see some paper piecing in my future. 🙂
I love the paper pieced look Ann and also the dimension achieved-hope your weekend away I with Lexi brings home another win
What a lovely bunch of tulips! I would never have thought of doing this, but it works so well. And I know that there’s nothing simple about creating a clean and simple card. It requires excellent design skills…and you’ve got them my friend!
What a great idea and what a great look! Now, why didn’t I think of That?
Brilliant card!
