Merci! Danke! Gracias! Thanks! The Paper Players are hosting a “Thankful for Spring!” challenge featuring “Thank You” cards. After this latest round of snow and cold temperatures, I truly am thankful that spring is just around the corner! I reached for one of my all-time favorite floral sets, Stippled Blossoms, and prepared for some quality time with my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I hope you enjoy viewing today’s card as much as I enjoyed creating it.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- They go together! Stippled Blossoms and the Stamp-a-ma-jig “go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong”. On today’s card, I used Soft Sky and Marina Mist for the larger flowers, Primrose Petals (stamped off, then not stamped off) for the smaller blossoms, and Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke for the leaves. Of course, I just had to add Pearl centers to a flower or two!
- A banner thanks! The “Thank You” sentiment from Peaceful Petals was inked with Smoky Slate ink and cut out with the smallest Banner Framelit. With it’s smaller size, it nestles nicely among the petals, while its color coordinates with Smoky Slate Hardwood background.
- Texture! The debossed side of the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder provides a wonderful contrast to the Hardwood background.
I love the look of the Stippled Blossom images with the Hardwood background. It’s a little surprising, and it is one of those happy mistakes that happen every once in awhile. The Hardwood piece was abandoned from my first attempt at last week’s Pals Paper Arts card. It was still laying on the counter when I picked it up on a whim. I’m glad I did. What do you think of this pairing? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me. Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

Had Spring weather here yesterday but totally different story today
LOVE those blues with gray!! Beautiful!!
Absolutely breathtaking Ann! Every detail is perfection!
Your card makes me yearn for spring even more. Smoky Slate is my favorite new color; using it as the subtle background makes the flowers beautiful stand outs. Love the card.
That card is gorgeous! I love the flowers with the Hardwood stamp, and the wood looks great stamped on Grey! I hadn’t tried or seen that combination yet and I’m making a mental note to try it on one of my projects.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Cindy 🙂
Ann, this is just stunning! I love the hardwood backdrop for your beautiful flowers, and those colors are delicious!
Love the hardwood background and your pretty flowers!
Wow this card is stunning!! Your dual stamping is spot on perfect.
Gorgeous! What is it -5 right now? At least the sun is shining bright! Otherwise, your card is simply a breath of spring! I love the hardwood look – looks like a sun washed fence! The flowers with those amazing leaves are just perfect cascading on the fence. Love the touch of pearls as well! Great job as always! I need to close my eyes and drink in the fragrance of the flowers!

I love, love, love your card Ann! I was thinking last night about how I would layout a floral design with the Hardwood background stamp for a birthday card! I may have to CASE some aspects of your card! Your card is AWESOME!! 🙂
That new hardware stamp is awesome! Your card is stunning with the rich & colourful blooms! Inspiring stuff! I need to dust off this set!
OMG! Ann! When I grow up I wanna be just like you – only me! And maybe with a few less pearls! Stunning!
Love the card….I’m going to have to get the Hardwood background stamp in our club!! Hang in there….Spring is only a few weeks away!
Well I would love to say a big thank you for spring, but seems we have a way to go for that…..expecting several inches of snow tonight and that is after the ice we are experiencing right this minute.
But, seriously, Ann! Your card is absolutely beautiful! And it gives me hope that spring will arrive one of these days. Stay warm until then!
I want these gorgeous flowers climbing the fence in my backyard! I love this combination!
Absolutely stunning!!!! I love the woodgrain background and the color combo is fabulous! Your work amazes me every week! Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration! X
Wow, this is absolutely beautiful! Love the pop of color against the slate background! These colors are gorgeous together!
Very beautiful! Love this card!
So pretty. The colors are stunning together. I especially love the two-tone leaves. I may try this and see how I do. They just make the whole card pop. So worth the effort of the stamp a ma jig. Absolutely gorgeous and I am so glad that you picked that piece up off your counter too! I am also thankful that you share your works of art with us!
Absolutely stunning, Ann! I adore these colors together. The Smoky Slate is so unexpected but a lovely soft companion to the bright flowers. Just divine!
Absolutely gorgeous with those beautiful blooms and pearls!
OMG Ann this card is BEE U TE FULL!!! and i will definitely case it 😉
Beautiful!
Very pretty….I just love those flowers against the Hardwood background! Everything is just delightful!
What a gorgeous, gorgeous card! The blossoms just pop against that weathered wood background. Love the colors you chose, Ann!
Hi Ann! This is SO pretty! It’s my favorite Ann style with lots of details and clean layers. I think the colors are just dreamy. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Just beautiful! Another one of your fabulous creations!
Gorgeous and in fact, quite familiar! On part of our weathered wooden fence, there is a “Blue Sky” vine growing (that’s the only name I know) and just below it, growing up, is a red Bleeding Heart. Hence the warm deja vu feeling when I saw this card!
Ooo, really lush and full of beautiful details! Hope you are well, Ann. 🙂
Hi Ann! The combination is beautiful!! Especially with the colours you’ve chosen. As always – a lovely creation that inspires! TFS
