It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! Jaydee has provided us with a fun sketch today which inspired me to pull out Sale-a-bration’s Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper. This paper is so yummy, with its sorbet colored hues. I hope you enjoy my little collection of paper snipped Vivid Vases.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Snipped!
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Snipped! I inked up the Vivid Vases stamp with Jet Black StazOn three times, stamping it onto three patterns from the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper collection, available as a Sale-a-bration freebie. I then snipped them out using my trusty Paper Snips.
- Banner banter! A trio of banners were cut in Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe and Summer Starfruit. The sentiment was selectively inked on the main stamp simply by using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
- Color me coordinated! The fabulous background paper coordinates perfectly with all of the colors selected. I just could not resist using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as the perfect accent!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. It was very easy to create…although it did involve quite a bit of snipping. I can’t wait to send it out…and the other ones I will be creating with the left-over vases! I was very tempted to switch out the flowers in each vase for blossoms of a different color, like a Pool Party vase with Crisp Cantaloupe bloom. But I also like this uniform look. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I make or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

How cute is this? Ann, I love the fussy cut detail and the soft color combo. Very cute, indeed! 🙂
Hi Ann, Your card is lovely. The colors remind me of the spring that is about to bless us in just a few weeks. Your card put a big ole’ smile on my face. 🙂

Don’t you just LOVE this paper?! The little vases look so cute paper pieced and what a brilliant combination in the lattice folder and the background DSP. Adorable card!
Ann, I love your fussy cut vases. They fit so well on this card. A fabulous take on the sketch. So glad you enjoyed playing with it.

Wouldn’t change a thing on your card. You created one of those “smile” cards. Love that dsp.

Lovely card and so creative on what you done with the different vases.
You do such a wonderful job in your coloring as well as your fussy cutting.
Love to Lexi
This stamp is so versatile…had no idea when I saw it that it could be so different but then there are so many of us with different ideas of the same thing we see! Love your idea of creating the different vases on dsp and then snipping them out and setting them on a table….not enough pearls (!!!) but love what you did – simply!
This is really cute! You are a super snipper!
The vases are so cute stamped on DSP.
Love these colors (my fave-summer Starfruit) and the lattice embossing and this DSP. All make for an adorable card. Love hearing abt your pups. Mine is a mini doxie and he’s a little comedian!
I love this! Those little vases are just perfect the way they are…and you are the queen of fussy cutting! The little banners are adorable…love that little starry one….and the colors are so happy and cheerful!
This is fabulous, Ann! Great dsp on the cute vases. Lots of work but so worth it!
This is going a cut above! Sorry, I seem to be on a roll with the puns lately! My hand would be cramping from the cutting! But, it is so worth it! Love the texture of the embossing. Now, I want to see you make the card with contrasting flowers just so we can see the comparison. I wouldn’t have even thought it until you mentioned it!
