It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week the talented Jaydee is challenging us to make a shaped card. While visions of many different shapes danced wildly in my head, I ended up making a shape which was independent of any holiday. I hope you enjoy my fall Labels Framelits card!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Labels Framelit Shaped Card
This finished card begins with a 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long card base.
- Get into shape! I began with a Naturals Ivory 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long card base. The folded edge was then aligned inside the cutting edge of the largest Labels Framelit. In the wink of an eye and the crank of a Big Shot handle, I had a shaped card!
- Between the lines! The Simply Scored Diagonal Plate can be used to create a variety of background patterns. Of course, I could not resist the urge to add Pearls.
- Curled and snipped! A pearled Naturals Designer Button leads the eye right to the curled and snipped banner. The sentiment, from Truly Grateful, is perfect for the season.
Fall is my favorite time of the year. Sadly the trees have shed their last leaves of the season, and the cold of an Iowa winter is beginning to settle in. It is bittersweet, to replace the vibrant colors of fall with the neutral hues of winter. But with winter will come long days of stamping, without the distractions that the other seasons bring.
With today’s post, I leave you with wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving. As for me, I have so many things for which I am truly grateful…and one of those things is not a thing at all. It is my family and friends. In a season filled with blessings, I am blessed with a loving husband, a son whose talent and joie de vivre never cease to amaze me, three beautiful dogs who remind me daily of the importance of loving unconditionally, and the support of friends like you, whose comments make my spirits soar more than you will ever know. Until next time…
Stamp Sets: Gently Falling (leaves), Glorious Grunge (speckles), Truly Grateful (sentiment); Inks: Soft Suede (distressing, speckles), Early Espresso (sentiment), Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede (leaves); Card Stock: Naturals Ivory; Tools: Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits, Paper Snips, Simply Scored, Diagonal Plate, Sponge Daubers; Glitz and Glam: Burlap Ribbon, Pearls, Naturals Designer Buttons

Ann, beautiful card, and thank you for your message. I am thankful for you and your posts and shared talent too.
I agree with Chris from Iowa; everything I would say has already been said and I would hate to be redundant. Still, it is yet another lovely card, Ann! Happy Thanksgiving to your and your family. I am thankful for so much: living where I can freely worship a kind and loving Father in Heaven; His Son and our Savior; family & friends; good health; food to eat; a warm and cozy home; living where I can enjoy the four seasons of the year and for you, Ann, and your willingness to share so generously your amazing talent! Hugs
Such a lovely card Ann. And even more lovely is the tribute to your family & friends. I can assure you, I am grateful for all the inspiration you provide.
Ann, it’s a perfect fall card. The scoring really highlights the shape of the card and the colors and splatters and little details are pure Ann-magic. Thank you for rocking my challenge!
You are right, we do have so much to be thankful for and this time of year is a perfect time to sit back and reflect on those things.
Happy Thanksgiving, my friend
Hugs
Jaydee
Beautiful–love the scoring.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and the entire Schach family.
Love it!!! Love those leaves and the shape you used for the card. Of course the pearls really set it off.
Fantastic! I have to get up earlier and get on the computer so I can say something special – everyone has been saying what I have thought! This is just amazing! I am totally in love with this. Like I always say, it is all in the details and wow, you nailed it on the details! Happy Thanksgiving!
Chris R. from Iowa
What gorgeousness! I so love all the details you put in to making a card. The shape of the card and the diagonal lines are impressive. The leaves, buttons, burlap, spritz, curled banner, sponging and, of course, the pearls are all just fabulous details and truly shows your love of card making! Great job! And, thanks for sharing!
