Happy Thanksgiving! It’s time to play at Pals Paper Arts! The talented Nicole Watt has a unique sketch for us today. I flipped it to accomodate the Tree from the Special Season stamp set. Don’t you love the chevrons? Enjoy today’s card.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Texture! After stamping the Tree image in Always Artichoke, the image panel was zipped through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Of course, I could not resist the urge to add a “few” Pearls.
- Joy! What a joy the JOY stamp is! From the A Banner Christmas set, this stamp was inked in Cherry Cobbler and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. The strip was then cut apart in order to adhere the letters to the card vertically.
- Chevrons! Cherry Cobbler chevrons were punched out using the Chevron Punch. To add a little more interest, I matted them to a larger Baked Brown Sugar chevron and adhered them on top of a snippet of Burlap Ribbon.
Our little Schach family of five celebrated Thanksgiving last night. Brady got to select the menu, so we had ham, party potatoes, corn casserole, home-made bread, and belated birthday cake. Brady was at school on his birthday, so we celebrated it a week later. That explains the birthday cake. Of course, the Twins and Lexi were thrilled with all of the attention they received, happy to have their boy home for a few days. Sadly, Brady heads back to Mizzou tomorrow. He is preparing for the concerts and finals he has next week. There is no doubt that he can prepare better in the solace of his apartment without the distraction of three bouncing Boxers!
I hope that you enjoyed today’s card. Won’t you let me know in your comment? I also hope that those of you who are celebrating with family and friends have a day filled with love, joy, and safe travels! Until next time…
