It’s Sunday…and time to play with The Paper Players! This week the Players are treating us to a wonderful trio of colors: Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango. I decided these would be the perfect colors for a fall card, so I pulled the Harvest of Blessings set out, and inked up this image for the first time. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Layered Label! I inked and stamped the Harvest of Blessings image three times in each of the challenge colors. The Tangerine Tango version served as the base, while I snipped out the Chocolate Chip image for the words. The Crushed Curry Corn was snipped out and adorned with pearls.
- Snipped leaves! Leaves from Gently Falling were inked in Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and Crumb Cake, and over-stamped with Chocolate Chip. I introduced Crumb Cake as a neutral for the pin oak leaf. I tried inking it up with Chocolate Chip and stamping off, then overstamping with Chocolate Chip again, but I just did not like the look…hence, the introduction of a neutral.
- Bowl me over with the bow! A double Crumb Cake bow, stamped with Chocolate Chip speckles courtesy of the Gorgeous Grunge set, balances the leaves on the left.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I like this trio of colors for fall. I also like Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Always Artichoke. What about you? Do you have a favorite fall color combination? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
(Note to Chellie B: I use Sticky Strip to apply the Burlap Ribbon. I apply the strip to the paper first, remove the backing, and then apply the ribbon. I hope this helps!)
So sorry for my delayed comment–ACK! A gorgeous card in true Schach-a-lic-ious style. Love all the spots from GG and the overstamped leaf veins in Chocolat Chip are beautiful! Such a great color combo–loved it! ((hugs))
Definitely a fall color combo. Love the burlap and pearls along with the pretty leaves and seam binding bow.
OMG! Love the card Ann! I would have never thought of putting Pearls on the corn! I wish we lived closer together so we could hang out and stamp so some of that Mojo of yours would rub off!!

Hugs, Ann! Thank you for your reply on the burlap ribbon. As always, love (LOVE) your card.
What a beautiful card and what great colors, Ann! I love all the patterns and texture, so yummy!
Your card is gorgeous Ann.
Beautiful combination of colors
Oh my God the corn!!! I’m hopping around on one foot saying OMG the corn!!! What a wonderful card! I am the world’s biggest sucker for plaid, I’ll even take plaid in blue. Outstanding!!
Hi Ann! Such a fabulous card Ann! Autumn cards are my favorites and this one is outstanding. Love the pearl corn and your pretty leaves. I like to use more mustard, Cajun craze, and always artichoke with a little soft suede or crumb cake. I really like the introduction of soft sky with any of those earthy colors too. Great inspiration, as always. Hope someone from SU! was paying attention to your clever corn on this post. It’s spectacular!
I do love this color combo, but I still miss More Mustard and Bravo Burgundy. They were so richly vibrant together.
Just gorgeous Ann! I especially love the pearl detail. Wish I could find some corn like that. Ha! Thanks for a fab color combo this week! 🙂
What a great way to incorporate these colors with this DP and images! Wonderful combo!
Your talent is amazing! Love all of your designs and I especially love these colors!
Another gorgeous card! My mother was an autumn color person, and lately I have begun to appreciate Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake,Crushed Curry (or More Mustard, and Cajun Craze with a dab of Chocolate Chip or Soft Suede thrown in. You made a piece of corn come alive with those pearls — how clever of you. I have a renewed interest in using corn stamps. Thanks for sharing your tips. Hug your pups extra for me. Nancy B
Wow, this is gorgeous! Love how you used the colors and where you put the pearls! What an awesome card!
What rich colors, I totally love this! Your colors are pretty much my favorite maybe mixed in with a little pumpkin pie. Gotta have dessert you know! I had to smile at the pearls on the corn – too funny! Love the texture with the burlap and that gorgeous bow! I will try your tip about the sticky strip with the burlap – I used glue dots and it didn’t lay as smooth. Beautiful job as always!
