It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! The awesome Jaydee has us “singing the blues” with her choices for this week’s color challenge: Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Whisper White. I reached for the new Festive Flurry stamp set, and had a blast creating the background for this card. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.
- Stamp-a-ma-jig! Midnight Muse and Pool Party Festive Flurry flakes alternate across the card front, with a little help from the Stamp-a-ma-jig! Pearls are the perfect accents at each intersection.
- Getting snippy! Paper Snips were used to snip out the centers of snowflakes, which were then popped atop the snowflake of opposite color. The result is fabulous!
- Pop it up! Create depth and dimension by snipping out a Pool Party Ampersand from the Love and Joy stamp and “popping” it into position on its Midnight Muse counterpart.

Very pretty card. I always love “joy” cards as that is my dd name. I just got home from several days in TX and am behind on farm things. Although Springfield is just 2 1/2 to 3 hrs away, I must stay home and tend to things. I’ll keep watching where you are going with your shows and someday I just might surprise you. Dar

Cool! How fun! I would have never come up with snowflakes using these colors but it works so well with your idea! I love the intricate centers the way you stamped them. The pearls are the coolest! Who would of thought of pool party as a snowflake. Love the sentiment too the way it is popped up there. Great job as always!
