World Map for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the lovely LeAnne is challenging us to create a Clean and Simple Masculine Birthday Card.  For some time, I have been wanting to create a masculine card using the World Map stamp with the sentiment “You color my world”.  But, there was one little problem…I didn’t have that sentiment.  My Digital Studio came to the rescue! In fact, I had so much fun playing with the sentiment, I decided to create most of the card digitally.  Enjoy!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″  long.

  • “Y”? “Y” not!  Why not create a Wild Wasabi  “Y” to really make “You” stand out! I used the retired Timeless Type Sizzlits to cut out the “Y”, which I then trimmed to fit.

  • Pop up the color! The word “Color” was printed in Wild Wasabi and then snipped out to form a banner.  It was positioned over the edge of the card base, and accented with a Tangerine Tango Candy Dot.

  • Sponge it!  A section of a second World Map image was sponged with Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze and popped up on dimensionals.  The vibrant result is eye-catching.

You know…it was fun dabbling with My Digital Studio.  It was quick and easy…and resulted in a card that I can’t wait to give to my husband.  What do you think of today’s card?  Won’t you let me know in your comment?  Your comments are important to me, and I do appreciate each and every one of them! And remember…if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
