It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the talented Sandy Mathis has selected a delicious fruity trio of colors: Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pear Pizzazz. I hope you enjoy today’s card.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Dancin’ a jig! The Stamp-a-ma-jig will have you doing the happy dance! It’s the correct tool for perfectly aligning Two-Step stamps like Field Flowers. I inked the blossom with Strawberry Slush and stamped it off onto scrap paper twice prior to stamping it onto Very Vanilla card stock. The Overstamp was inked in Strawberry Slush, and stamped into position using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
- Stepped up sentiment! The With Love sentiment, from Field Flowers, was inked with Strawberry Slush and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. The Overstamp Blossom from Field Flowers was inked in Strawberry Slush, stamped off, and then stamped over the sentiment, to add a bit of interest.
- Flutter-by! A Crisp Cantaloupe butterfly, punched from Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper is fluttering by the Field Flower bouquet. Butterflies and flowers go together like Ann Schach and Pearls, don’t you think?
Well…it is a quick post today. Muffy and I are actually writing this from our hotel room in Racine, Wisconsin. Little Lexi is with us just for fun, and is loving all of the attention she is getting from people at the show. The high point of her day was when she and Muffy got to play with two sweet little girls. Muffy won her class Friday (on her birthday), but was third in her class Saturday. She was just a tad too elegant for this judge’s taste. However, she looked gorgeous! That is our motto: “If it is not your day to win, look fabulous losing”…and she did!
I hope you will leave me a comment today, and let me know what you think of today’s card. As always, your comments are important to me. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

These flowers are gorgeous in Strawberry Slush! What a pretty card, Ann!
Ann, this card is GORGEOUS! Love the double stamping on the blossoms and the color palette is divine. You rock star, you!
Gorgeous, An… Ilove your use of DSP. The butterfly is perfect with the flowers and I also love that you stamped a little floral on the sentiment tag. Of course, the pearls are the perfect “Schach” touch!

Great card using those colors! I depend on my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for aligning designs. Love your motto when you aren’t a winner. Good for our furry friends but also for real people.
Luscious! Winning is good, but glad to see you think playing is lots of fun too!
I absolutely LOVE your card and it has inspired me to take out my field flowers and get busy with it again; it’ a great stamp set but sometimes even those sets get set aside. Also, as I am not very good at commenting but do read your blog every day, I want to tell you how much I also enjoy your doggie stories as well as your creations. Love it all!
Butterflies and flowers, Ann and pearls, Muffy and Lexi, they all go so well together!
Beautiful card. Love the flower stamped over the sentiment.
There is no accounting for that judge’s taste. We all know Muffy is a winner.
Wow, this is beautiful! I love what you did with these colors and Field Flowers is one of my favorite sets! You really made those flowers pop! Glad you are having fun with the girls!
I love field flowers and you dressed them up beautifully! So glad you are having fun with the girls!
That has always been a favorite stamp set of mine. Love what you did with it. Also loved your saying abt losing. Muffy my not have come in first but she is a winner!
Beautiful, as always, Ann! And love your motto about losing. Good for all of us to remember!
Good morning Ann,
Just had to tell you that I loved your card today, but especially love the little tip about overstamping the sentiment with the flower stamp! What a great touch. I’m using that on my next card! Now if only I could get over my fear of the stamp a ma jig!
Hug the puppies!

Your card is absolutely gorgeous. You really showcased the colors and made them sing! Your attitude about not taking first place in dog shows is a real winner too!
