Tea Party for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players. This week, the talented Nance Leedy has an adorable sketch for us.  I decided to pair the new Tea Party stamp set with the delightful Plaid Pattern from the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper Collection.  I hope you enjoy today’s card.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide x 4-1/4″ long.

  • Deco delight! The new Deco Label Framelits provide the perfect canvas for a Raspberry Ripple Pitcher with Flowers from the Tea Party stamp set. Of course, every flower deserves the perfect Pearl center!
  • Button basics! A Raspberry Ripple Hexagon anchors one of the new Very Vintage Designer Buttons.
  • Doily and banner! A Tea Lace Paper Doily provides a quick and easy backdrop to the So Grateful banner.  This sentiment, from the Apothecary Art set, was stamped in Raspberry Ripple.

Little Lexi Wins Big

Saturday found little Lexi and I in sweltering Iowa City for the Hawkeye Kennel Club dog show, Day #1.  And who should emerge victorious? Why, luscious Lexi herself.  Lexi garnered the Winners female title, and took her place right behind the Best of Breed winner, having been named the Best of Opposites.  Woo hoo, Lexi Lou!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Won’t you let me know in your comment?  And remember, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away!  Until next time…

Your card is so charming. Love the doily and button. You must have dyed the baker’s twine? I wouldn’t have put those two colors together but they look very nice together. That’s why I come visit Ann, to learn some new tricks. Thanks for that!

And way to go, Ann, with this lovely card. So wonderfully embellished!

  23. Wow this card is so hot! I wanted to say cool but these are some hot colors! I would have never thought to pair them. Of course, I had not noticed that paper either to start with. But, it all works so well! The addition of the doily and pearls are the perfect touches. Love it!

Wonderful win for you and Lexi! Plus, the added bonus of not having to drive so far.

This posting of yours is a total win-win situation!

  28. This is so cool – it’s kind of like a tea party picnic – moving the tea party outdoors for the summer. The pitcher makes me think of “redwork” which I admire but have never done. The pearls, the button, the doily – it all goes together beautifully! Go Lexi!!

  29. Way to go Lexi.

    Happy Sunday.

  30. Congratulation Lexi!! Love your card that is making me think of Scotland for some reason! hehe. Vx
