It’s Sunday…and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the ever-so-talented LeAnne has a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us. As you look at today’s card, let’s see if you can figure out which choices I selected.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Cute? Classy?
This card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Perfection! I usually just paper snip the ends of my banners, but the new Hexagon Punch makes it so easy to achieve perfect ends. All you need to do is just slide the strip of paper into the side of the punch and punch away!
- Two step stamping! Bold or subtle…the choice is yours when overstamping. The large Blossom image from Stippled Blossoms was inked in Island Indigo, and stamped off twice before stamping onto Whisper White card stock. It was then overstamped in Island Indigo for a perfect tone-on-tone look. On the other hand, taking a cue from the adorable Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo Mini-Floral pattern, from the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper collection, the smaller Posies were inked in Daffodil Delight and boldy overstamped in Island Indigo.
- Tic-Tac-Toe! Did you guess the three choices correctly? Here we go:
Today’s card ended up a mixture of styles: sweet, sassy paper patterns and adorable posies share the stage with a classy and elegant blue blossom. But in the end, I think it works. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? And remember, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

Everything about this one is gorgeous, Ann! I love the fresh mix of colors and patterns. Great tip about the hexagon punch, too. 🙂

So pretty!! A super sweet and sassy card for sure! I love this new Gingham Garden Paper, I have a feeling I’m going to need more than one pack of it! Thanks for the great tip using the Hexagon Punch!
This is one of my absolute favorite SU sets, all the shading is done for you and the end result is always fantastic. Love the blue flower and the subtle touches of yellow and green. The Gingham DSP really looks amazing here. Thanks for sharing.
So pretty Ann. You haven’t made a card with this stamp set that I haven’t enjoyed! The blue and yellow is so Springy. Great use of the new punch to get perfect tails. I struggle with that, so thanks. Can’t wait to hear how the girls performed this weekend. Have safe travels home.
Beautiful, even though it’s blue : ) My best friend loves blue and yellow together, so that’s how I usually use blue. That was a GREAT tip about the hexagon punch! Thanks for sharing. Congrats to you and the girls.
