Good-by, Christmas Lodge, Muffy Passes Her Echo, and Tyler Wins!

Christmas Lodge will always be one of my favorite Christmas sets. Sadly, it is scheduled to be retired on June 3rd.  (You can check out the Retiring Lists at the end of this post).  If you love this set as much as I do, and if you have not ordered it yet, please don’t hesitate. Here are some of my favorite Christmas Lodge cards that I have created.  Enjoy!

Muffy Passes Her Echocardiogram!

One of the prerequisite tests that a responsible Boxer owner performs on their furbabies prior to breeding is an echocardiogram.  An echocardiogram is the best tool for diagnosing sub-aortic stenosis (SAS) and for determining the origin and significance of heart murmers.  Boxer owners are lucky because each year, at the National Specialty, the American Boxer Club arranges for low-cost echocardiograms to be conducted.  This year, the nation’s foremost expert on the Boxer heart, Dr. Kate Meurs, DVM, PhD., Board Certified Veterinary Cardiologist and her team performed the test.

Now we all know that Muffy is a health-conscious girl.  She knows the importance of good hygiene…

She exercises regularly.

She dresses appropriately when the weather is chilly…

And she gets plenty of sleep.

The great news is that Dr. Meurs said that Muffy passed her echo, and is SAS clear.  Woo hoo!

Other Great Boxer News

And in other great news on the Boxer front, Lexi’s brother, Tyler, won his class at the National Futurity and was Reserve National Junior Futurity Winner.  Little Lexi is proud of her big brother!  And if Lexi continues to eat and gain those precious ounces, she will be giving the Boxer girls a run for their money this summer!

Thanks so much for sharing in my good news today. After a hectic weekend, things are getting caught up here at The Stampin’ Schach and I am ready to stamp…and catch up on emails.  Until next time…

  1. This is one of my favorite stamp sets too and will stay with me after it retires. So happy to hear Muffy is in good health. I can certainly give Lexi some tips on how to put on a little weight – not hard at all!!

  2. Your work with Christmas Lodge has inspired MANY of my cards! I shall miss this set!

Congrats to all the winning/healthy boxers! 🙂

  3. Oh my dear – what a shock – in my Reader it says Muffy passed – even knowing it was the echo, my heart still skipped a beat! You sure do wonders for that stamp set – just amazing works of art. congrats to Tyler, still sorry Lexi couldn’t go but “everything for a reason”. What really got me on this post was in that picture of Muffy sleeping, those white parts on her neck and chest just look sooooo soft I want to touch her!

  4. I join everyone to cheer on your happy news. That is so nice to know that she passed. As for the classic retiring, it is sad to see it go, a good looking Christmas tree should always stand tall and stay! Thanks for the great news Ann. Nicole

  5. Ann another beauty is retiring… but not from my stash! Seems all my favorites are going away this year… except Lovely as a Tree (thank goodness).
your fur babies put me to shame with their exercising! Now that’s bad!
Looking forward to see what you do with all the new products coming.
    hugs.

  6. I ordered the set just because of your first card you showed today! But, like many of my sets, it has yet to see ink. But, eventually it will get used. I remember when, I believe, it was Lexi, who tried her distressing tricks on it. I still think my Henry put her up to it! I know have some cardstock distressed and rumpled with drool! So glad to hear about Muffy’s test results! See, I told you Tyler’s name was a good omen!
